honestly. the pope gets a bad rap for quoting a 14th century general, and pointing out that people will say things like this general did, such as "islam is evil and inhuman" if you wage war for religion. so by making the point that fighting to convert others and kill those that practice other religions is bad, the pope is being yelled at by huge numbers of muslims.
why? why is it that jews and christians get bashed, even by world leaders, constantly, but when a cartoon is drawn or something minor said, the radical muslims use it as an excuse to blow up churches and set nuns on fire? to threaten the pope with death?
it seems to me that because of its tendency to get extremely radical, militant fanatical islam is a major obstacle to freedom.
share with me your thoughts on this issue, and how the large population of sane, loving, peaceful muslims can help reign in this violent tendency of their radical brothers.
