2 Peter 3:3-7 says that in the last days people will scoff and mock God asking "Where is Jesus' coming, he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the begining of creation."
So a big thank you, proves his return is nearer than we think!

Dear CPT:
Out of everyone on these boards, I really care about you and love you in Christ Jesus. I will pray for your soul, I really think you are searching for truth and pray that you will find it.
I don't question your doubting, it's normal, I admire people who search for truth.
Some of your questions are over the top, but I love you any way. Keep searching.

For those who would love to kill me "Noodle" because I love the Lord, you too are fullfilling Bible Prophecy. Those who think they are doing God a service by ridding Christians out of this world. So I'll say a prayer for you too.

Andrew: It means people who laugh at Christians and laugh at God and his word concerning the return of Christ, they are lovers of evil and follow their own lust. Translation: Jesus is coming back for the church soon.

No, just mocking the idiots that believe that stuff.

Christians have been predicting the END IS NEAR for 2,000 years. Haven't gotten it right one single time.

Everything hasn't gone on the same as it has since the beginning. The Roman Empire fell. Their world ENDED. Then fell into the Dark Ages because of the "church".

As for people wanting to kill Christians. It was no different when the "church" had control. And that is not only the Roman Catholic Church. Protestants had their fair share of limelight, as did Baptists. Especially in Europe.

And didn't Jesus also say to a multitude of people "There are some here who will not taste death till the return of the Son." Are some of those people alive?

No it doesn't. All that it says is that you should not focus on when the "last days" are, but to go on as the world has and is right now. We are not to know the day or the hour of Christ's coming--we are just to be ready in case it does! People have been scoffing and mocking God with those words since the day Jesus died--does this mean the "end times" have been going on since then?

newsflash: people have been mocking god and jesus since they were made up! This is nothing new. Your religion is just a coincidence of where you were born. If you were born in Iran, you'd be a Muslim, and would be praying to Allah. Because you're from the US, you think Christianity is the correct religion. But hey, just keep believing fairy tales - if that's what you need to keep you going.

Why should we believe anything Peter says about Jesus? Peter denied Jesus 3 times! For Peter to write those words is only evidence that he hated Jesus and was only in it for the power rush and the money [like most preachers today]. Talk about hypocrite.

According to Emmanuel Swedenborg, the Second Coming happened about 250 years ago and most Christians missed it because they are so much more literal than spiritual.
