convert Christians. They badly edited the tape to make it look like the person was agreeing with them and it had the now notorious segment about a banana being proof of God's hand in creation. Honestly, I think they came off looking like idiots who think they know how use the media to get our message across. Are there people who think this was effective?

convert people to Christianity

i have seen this evangelical show lots of times. i do believe that both men are genuine christians without a doubt. but i think they make it look too easy. most people are not as receptive to the gospel message as the ones they confront. and that is the sad cold bitter truth.

i don't think the show is bad by any means. it gives some straight biblical teaching. however.....i am starting to think more and more that the way to preach the gospel is by action more than word of mouth.

when you thank christ for your food and home..you are preaching the gospel. when you forgive someone who has clarly done wrong to you...you are preaching the gospel, etc.

the show is okay...but i think it sets people up (unintentionally) to make evangelizing easy.

I think Ray Comfort is an incredible man of God. This show can be campy at times, but it is quite effective. There's not a higher number of people who accept the gospel, but a higher concentration of those who do accept it for the right reasons and are therefore not false converts. Check out their website at

and a few other episodes. Also, on Way of the Master radio, you can hear for yourself: witnessing encounters; no editing.

I saw that one too. Kirk couldnt wipe the smirk off his face. I dont think he even bought that crap.... "Look at the shape of a banana...obviously inteligently designed to be held in mans hand..." WHAT CRAP! But hey, it did make me smile and laugh!

I saw that a while back too. I just found the whole thing sad. Poor Kirk.

That show is a joke.

I wish that they would talk to me. I don't know if I am going to heaven or hell, but then that is for God to decide, not some washed up actor and his "British sidekick".

I wonder if they know it is a sin to presume the Will of God?

I, too, have seen them. I do agree on the editing. I don't thinks as easy as they make it out to be. Their method of evangelizing is scriptural, however, most people today simply don't want to hear it. Remember what St. Paul said, "Be all things to all people."

I think the banana and kiwi proofs are equally valid.

I believe that they are trying to show people how to question others about their knowledge of God, and then how to convict them of there sins. If people are not aware that they are sinners, they can never be brought into the family of God.

I have seen them several times, and though I think it is aimed at youth, I have not seen anything that I disagreed with. I do not know how youth receive it.
