I recently asked a question on here asking if Jesus had free will or not. The majority of people said yes. How is it then, that if Jesus had free will could he be, "the God". Because God would have not failed his purpose. There is no understanding behind this logic. Wasn't God's authority questioned in the garden of Eden? Didn't Satan tell God that no one would love him of their own free will? If Jesus is God then it proves nothing. But if Jesus is God's only begotten son, his first creation, who has free will like Satan, did he not prove a point by loving his heavenly Father so much by doing the will of his Father? Just wondering!

JClovesme, To answer you, No I am not one of JW!!! But you are right, I do not believe in the trinity! And the bible verse you want, I will have to apologize for that. I was taking the book of Job into consideration on how he claimed that if God let bad things happen to him, then Job would not worship him. My bad. I guess I was just assuming that meant love also, just like you assume that I am a JW. And what makes you think that your religion is so much better than anyone elses anyway. Do you not think that your bible has been mistranslated? You are kidding yourself if you think not. But hey don't take my word for it, check it out.I just can't believe so called Christians talk so badly of another religion. We are all God's children. I have studied many different religions, all have flaws. And I have found the grace of God. I wish you the same.

Fireball, you ask What on earth religion am I ? What on God's green earth religion are you? It's people like you that think you are so smart, that turns people away. This is a question and answer forum. All I was doing was asking a question and I get attacked by asking what religion I am. But to answer your question, I have no set religion. I am still learning and probably will to the day I die. I do believe in God, that he is the Creator of everything. I believe in his only begotten son, that he died for our sins. I try to imatate the footsteps that Jesus set for us to follow and try my hardest to keep the ten commandments. Now I ask you, do I pass your judgement on what religion I am. May peace be with you.

Carol M, sorry sweetie but I don't believe in a Hell. Get you a concordance and look up the Hebrew and Greek word for Hell. (Hey maybe I am a JW) lol. Alot of words have been mistranslated. And have you ever read Jer.7:31? Please read, because it talks about burning ones sons and daughters in fire, and God said that he commaned them not, neither came it into his heart. This verse says volumes. God is the same God as he was when he said this verse. He has no intention of burning one forever in the pits of hell. To cease to exist in God's memory is worst than any Hell, don't you think? Not to mention a whole lot kinder on a loving God's part. Hope you will study it through. Peace.

If you are a JW, than don't loose faith. JClovesme or w/e is an apostate, don't listen, satan is trying 2 blind you! their is no trinity, u have to have faith in that and what u were taught!

The scripture that pagans use is John 10:30 where it says "I and the father are one", but was jesus saying they were litturaly one? turn to Matthew 19:4-6. This caption talks about marrage. It describes people who are married as one flesh also, but are married people a trinity also? No. When the bible describes marrigae as them being one, it is saying that they are in unison or harmony, and they make desisuions together, and they are very close mentally. When jesus said he and god were one, he was describing them as being in unison also. he was saying that they are very close mentaly, not litteraly one.

Also, turn to John 14:28. Jesus plain out says that the father is greater than he is, ask yourself, could god be greater than jesus it they were litteraly one? No.

Also, turn to revalation 3:14. Here is describes jesus as the begining of creation by god, so it said that god created jesus, but if they are a trinity, how could god of created jesus if he is also jesus? He couldnt have! I hope you understand.

This question is far more important that yours... Where will you go when you die/ Heaven or hell? what will your free will send you? Jesus was with out sin, and obedient to His Father, the Almighty God. Free will is there to see if you are obedient to God and to His laws, or disobedient and want to do what you want in life. Jesus obeyed God and went all the way to the cross and died for our sins, because that is what He knew was His Father's will for Him. You people have not idea what real free will is or why it has been put into the mix of lif

Life is just this..... Choose your own will or the will of God. Choose your own will and you will probably disobey God. Do what you know in your heart what God wants from you , and you will be obeying His commandments. It's not that complicated. It is satan who makes this so confusing for people.

Give the 10 points to JCLOVESME, she's right on the mark! KATIKAT, you'd better start studying the bible on your own and quit listening to and searching the scriptures the way the Watchtower Society in Brooklyn wants you to. First thing would be to toss away the New World Testament and pick up a good ole King James Version Bible. By the way the JW's used the King James Bible until it didn't fit in with their purposes anymore. They are todays decievers. How come everyone that is NOT a JW is apostate? I don't think JW's are apostate, just VERY decieved.

There's a lady who's sure all that glitters is gold
And she's buying a stairway to heaven.
When she gets there she knows, if the stores are all closed
With a word she can get what she came for.
Ooh, ooh, and she's buying a stairway to heaven.

There's a sign on the wall but she wants to be sure
'Cause you know sometimes words have two meanings.
In a tree by the brook, there's a songbird who sings,
Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven.
Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it makes me wonder.

There's a feeling I get when I look to the west,
And my spirit is crying for leaving.
In my thoughts I have seen rings of smoke through the trees,
And the voices of those who stand looking.
Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it really makes me wonder.

And it's whispered that soon if we all call the tune
Then the piper will lead us to reason.
And a new day will dawn for those who stand long
And the forests will echo with laughter.

If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now,
It's just a spring clean for the May queen.
Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run
There's still time to change the road you're on.
And it makes me wonder.

Your head is humming and it won't go, in case you don't know,
The piper's calling you to join him,
Dear lady, can you hear the wind blow, and did you know
Your stairway lies on the whispering wind.

And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our soul.
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How everything still turns to gold.
And if you listen very hard
The tune will come to you at last.
When all are one and one is all
To be a rock and not to roll.

And she's buying a stairway to heaven.

To be perfectly honest I do not have a straight forward answer for you but I do believe the trinity is three in one. Much like water, steam and ice. I understand your question and I will probably ask my pastor about the free will and Son of God question.

God, Goddess, Elemental Spirit

I see the issue here. It's that you are a JW and don't believe in the trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit). You won't understand this because your heart is not open to it. I'm not trying to offend you, only speak the truth in love. The trinity is not satanic as you are taught, it's Biblical. Jesus said in Matthew 28:19
Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

To answer your question. Yes, Jesus had free will. When He was in the garden praying before He was taken, He asked His Father (God) if there was another way? But His (God's) will be done. Jesus could have called 10,000 angels to release Him, but His mission for coming to earth and walking as a man required a sinless man to die. At that time, Crucifixion was the way.

You are looking at this all from the flesh, the natural world. God is Spirit ((John 4:24 For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.")) and can do things our minds just can't seem to wrap themselves around. What we think is impossible is possible for Him (God).

God came to earth in the form of a man. God walked this earth to go through the earthly temptations you and I face. Jesus was born a virgin birth and died a sinless man...but He was God. We know this for two reasons. 1) He told us in the scriptures, John 4: 25 The woman said, "I know that Messiah" (called Christ) "is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us." 26 Then Jesus declared, "I who speak to you am he." and 2) Acts 2:22 "People of Israel, listen! God publicly endorsed Jesus of Nazareth by doing wonderful miracles, wonders, and signs through him, as you well know.

Satan deceived Eve. I think since the beginning the human race, Satan has wanted to get in the way of what God was doing. You know, since he was evicted from Heaven...he doesn't want us going there either.

Your question: Didn't Satan tell God that no one would love him of their own free will? You will need to point out the scripture on that one, I've never seen it. ((Make sure you use the Holy Bible and not the New World Translation to tell me, that wasn't written from the original manuscripts)).

Your last question...I'm not sure I understand it. Perhaps re-write it?

I hope that helps.

May you find the grace of the living God and His Son Jesus!

Jesus as God's Son, did have free will,

"Not my will but yours" (paraphrased) shows that Jesus is not His Father, and that they had different wills.

Jesus also said "my food is to do your will" (paraphrased).

Jesus choose to do his Fathers will, which is why Jehovah rewarded Jesus.
