Personally - I've seen Leviticus 19:28, and I believe God is right. I don't want to get a tattoo, because my body was bought for a price (Jesus's blood). It isn't mine to do whatever I want with it - it is God's now and I am happy that He has taken such tender care of it since I asked Him into my heart. I think God doesn't want us to mark up our bodies. That is my choice. You may read that verse and think differently - but my choices are mine, and yours are yours :)

It is only a "SIN" by definition... lets just say that you think the bible is a crock ... then getting or having a tattoo is not a sin by any means... unless it is of the pope. :-)

YES IT IS A SIN.
Read the Holy Bible about the body being the tample of the Holy Spirit and no one should be making any cuts or markings on it.
(I have a tattoo but I was stupid when I got it,I didn't know God's Word then but now I do).GOD Bless!

No more than applying mascara and lip polish every day. In other words, a big giant red letter NO.

"Sin" (doing wrong) hurts someone. Otherwise, it's not wrong. Period.

Le 19:28
Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.

Le 21:5
They shall not make baldness upon their head, neither shall they shave off the corner of their beard, nor make any cuttings in their flesh.

When I was younger, my grandma said this to me "Never disrespect your body because your body represents the Holy Temple."

a lot people will quote leviticus but they fail to mention the part where it says not to shave your beard and hair. i don't think i matters, if it does i'm in trouble!

it's not a sin, nor is it unique or rebellious or deep. it's just following the massive herd of mallrats out there.
