I got tired of bashing Christians last night, so I just became one.

I'm leaning towards Catholic, but I'm not sure yet.

Think about it people...remember the Orcish creatures, how they hated all non-orcs? Notice that?

Didnt the Orcish culture look like an Islamic one? Thats no coincidence.

Isnt the same errie and nefarious feeling you got when you saw the hate creatures not the very same feeling you get when you wake up every day and read about a new Islamic war or act of terror?

Tell me your name, and I'll try to memorize it so I can ask for you when I get there. I can't wait anymore to get there, and I'd like to meet each one of you who makes it to heaven too.
Our lord is coming soon, so don't let anyone discourage you.
Pray for me and I'll pray for you, my name is: Lamy Adolf

I usually pray every night, and I promise to pray for each name TONIGHT.
God bless you!

I just became a Christian last night, after I got bored with bashing Christians.

I like the Catholic channel the best of all the Christian stations.

Oh, and please don't "warn" me about Catholicism or you'll bring out another bashing streak me in me.

(Preface: I don't mean to offend - just trying to provoke thought. If you are easily offended - DON"T read the rest of this question - click on "BACK" right now. )

Exodus 12:29 says "At midnight the Lord stuck down all the firstborn in Egypt from the firstborn of Pharaoh, who sat on the throne, to the firstborn of the prisoner who was in the dungeon"

To make it even worse, God had deliberately "hardened Pharaoh's heart" to prevent him from letting the Jews leave Egypt - just to teach him a lesson, apparently.

How do you reconcile this baby-killing behavior with the nature of God?

Why does God say, "Thou Shalt Not Kill" when he seems to use mass murder as nothing more than an object lesson?

Would a non-Christian or Muslim reading the Bible correctly infer that the Christian God condones killing innocent babies if they are the enemies?

Thoughts?

I am reading "Interpreter of Maladies" by Jhumpa Lahiri and I needed to know if the Hindu wife wore some clothing because of religion or because she just didn't like her husband.

More like the latter if you ask me. Blowing up people, crashing planes into skyscrapers, decapitations. Muslms are violent, sand dwelling, towel wrapped creatures reminiscent of the Tusken Raiders from Star Wars.

My son would really like for me to sign him up on some sports or "leagues", but all activities are always held on saturdays, which goes against Seventh Day Adventist beliefs.
Which, if any, are some alternatives for us

Thanks for any help

If the Pope is a conduit to God, then by saying sorry they are in effect saying God is wrong.
After all, in the eyes of the Church, God picked the Pope.
If the Pope made a mistake, he was only relaying Gods word.
If God was right, why are the Cardinals apologising?

Did you know that the only way to Heaven is through Jesus Christ. Since Heaven is a perfect place and we have sin in our lives, if we went to Heaven we would bring sin to Heaven, hence Heaven wouldn't be perfect anymore. So you must realize that your sins will take you to *not Heaven*(hell). But Jesus died to pay for our sins. Jesus is God's Son, His perfect Son who died to pay for our sins and rose from the dead on the third day, defeating Death. He wants you to go to Heaven. You just have to realize you are a sinner and that those sins willl take you to hell. Ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins and save you. It's a feeling that will satisfy all your neds. And the great thing about it is that once he save you your always saved! Even if you sin after he saves you no man can pluck you out of God's hand. have a great day and God b;ess!

The Christian motto or Code of Behaviour is, "Do Unto Others as you would have them Do Unto You."

Being a practicing Wiccan, our motto is, "Do what you will. Harm none."

Do other religions have mottos like this? If so what is the motto for Islam, Jeudaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, let alone the plethora of religious and faith based spritual paths that are out there? Not only that, is there an agreed upon motto for athesits and agnostics?

Thank you, in advance, for enlightening me.

Christian = Christ-like. Living life according to how Jesus lived (modifiable for the difference in society and time period). As none are able to be exactly like Christ, it would be reasonable to say that living close to the way Christ lived would make you like Christ (different levels of likeness). With this in mind, is Christian Atheism possible, if a person were to reject the notion of God, yet live their lives by many of the teachings of Jesus (whether or not they credit Jesus with their actions)? If they were to forgive people when they have been wronged, because they felt it was the right thing to do. If they were to treat others as they would have others treat them. If they were to show love toward all people. Yes?
