More like the latter if you ask me. Blowing up people, crashing planes into skyscrapers, decapitations. Muslms are violent, sand dwelling, towel wrapped creatures reminiscent of the Tusken Raiders from Star Wars.

We will never have peace/understanding among religions as long as each side insists on lumping all Christian religions together. The same goes for lumping all the Muslim religions together. Then both sides seem to think they have to bring up all the awful things that have been done in the name of one or the other. Yes, there have been horrible things done by both to each other & to their own. I'm not saying this is right, just that it has been done. There are many Muslim religions, Sunnis, Shiites etc. Not all are violent. There are many Christian religions as well, Catholic, Baptist, Methodist etc. Not all of them are extremists either. I guess what I'm trying to say is that if everyone followed the Golden Rule, we would not have name-calling, persecutions, terrorists or any other of these awful things going on in the name of Religion. Love the Lord your God with all your heart & your neighbor as yourself. That is in the Old Testament & I believe that even most Muslims have this belief also.

Islam is peace: Islamic civilization is based on the freedom that God gave mankind where Moslems 1400 years ago were able to think freely about every issue that relate to human life.1400 years ago the world was living
in darkness. 1400 years ago, there were Islamic universities where most scientific subject was taught.

if your going to compar islam to anything in the sw universe cheak out the new jedi order books and the race called the yuzuhm vong (i spelled that as bad as ever i think)
i think they are the closest thing to miltiant islam you can find in the universe

Islam And Muslim:
Islam is an Arabic Word which means peace, purity, acceptance and commitment. The religion of Islam is the complete acceptance of the teachings and guidance of God ( Allah being his proper name ). i.e. surrender to the Will of God.
A Muslim is one who accepts freely and willingly the supreme power of God and strives for total recognition of his life according to the revealed teachings of God. He also works towards the establishment of a just and equitable social order which would totally reflect the guidance of God.

A Christian leader says they're religion is violent, and so what is their way of protest? VIOLENCE!!!! They are just proving his point.
A man makes a statement about their religion, and they kill a nun! How is that equal? They are ridiculous.
