Like many religions there are different sects of Buddhists with differing disciplines/rules on life.
Buddhists believe in the goal of attaining the bliss-full state of NIRVANA.
As skunk etc is a toxin, a hallucinogenic.....this would be considered as something that will prevent you from attaining true happiness and peace of mind........which is Nirvana. Don't fear though..I smoked the gear for years...pack it in..and you will be fine and will be more relaxed without it...pls believe me here. Moreover If you undertake the practise of meditation, you will find that this is an AMAZING method of chilling you out that doesn't cost anything and will save your mental health from deteriorating

I have never seen anything that speaks against it. Though the charcoal to burn them on contains chemicals. Then again resins could be added to a wood fire.

Are you talking about drugs? No, the eightfold path prohibits it under Right Behaviour. I wouldn't use it if I could, drugs are stupid.
