Are there similar verses found in the old testatment? Because the two(Quran and Old testament) always have similarities.

A friend of mine whose been studying th Quran says that it's a mistranslation, the surah speaks of pearls not virgins. It's like on Office Space, even in the after life you need more flair.

I am pretty sure that 72 virgins thing is fake. I'm Muslim, and I've never seen it referenced in Quran or hadith. The Quran does mention pure companions, but no number, nor sexual status, nor even gender. (As I understand it, Hoori is a non-gendered term.)

72 virgins is a mistake. Actually they are Houris and celestrial spirits. Since they lack sex organs they cannot be virgins in the human sense.

There is no such thing! When we die and have afterlife you will be a non gender being. If you want virgins find them now or it will not be found at all. 70 virgins to the millions on muslims that would be almost impossible anyway.
