Speaking for the Catholic Church, we have our origin in Christ the Word. In the prologue of the Gospel of John, the author states, "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God. And the Word was God." Now since Christ is the Word and the Word was with God and is God, then Christianity has been around since before time itself. It is not arrogance to say this. It is only affirming that our origin is in Christ.
May the Lord bless and keep you. May He let the light of His face shine upon you.

Christians date our religion back to the sacrifice of the Son of God on the cross. Seeing as how HE was the Son of God and He pretty much makes the rules, the date of other religions pales in comparison.
