For some reason, people of any religion take it as a personal affront when their beliefs are questioned.
Makes me think that their beliefs aren't very strong if they have to get all riled up to defend them.
I live and let live. I don't have a cow if someone disagrees with me. I mean honestly, it is pathetic that someone would feel like it was a personal attack on them if their particular value system was called into question. It also amazes me how much they care what perfect strangers think.
Just my two cents.

I think it's sad when you dismiss how much religion has an impact in society today and has always throughout history. Religion is one of the few subjects everyone has a strong opinion about, no matter if you're Christian, Atheist, or anything in between.

Because everyone believes that what they believe is correct. There is no gray area. Either God exists or He doesn't. No in between. Also, people are very opinionated when it comes to religion because some like to point out the flaws to make their belief even more credible.

No, you are just sad for asking questions when you really don't want honest answers.
Interesting point. Maybe it is because everybody thinks that they are an expert on spiritual things (unlike, say physics or engineering), and everyone feels qualified to give an opinion.

Despite your condescending attitude, I will answer you to the best of my knowledge. Religion is of the utmost concern to the majority of people. Doctors have provided proof in studies conducted among elderly people in nursing homes that the religious memory is the last memory to go. That, my friend, is God's way of giving us every possible chance to reconcile us to him. That is love.

Because all the idiots come to the religious section to be ... well ... idiots, so they flood the religious boards with nonsense hence why they are more crowded, the idiots need to be kicked out.

I think alot of it, as far as Christians go, they are searching for their own answers to a religion they down deep inside feel is illogical. G-d is One. It made me change from a Christian to a Jew. And, I am very happy with it.

When it comes to religion, or lack thereof, everyone including yourself has an opinion on it. You choose to pass judgment on people you don't personally know.. sad aren't you?
