I f the pope is harmed (god forbid) in any way it would bring even closer the prophecy of the end of the world as predicted St. Malachy was said to have had a vision during a trip to Rome around 1139 of the remaining 112 Popes. The new pope would be number 111 on that list, and is described in a text attributed to St. Malachy as the "Glory of the Olive".
But Malachy-watchers point to the choice of the name Benedict--an allusion to the Order of Saint Benedict, a branch of which is known as the Olivetans.
Benedict said that he chose the name partly in honour of Pope Benedict XV (1914-1922), calling him a "courageous prophet of peace".Benedict dedicated his papacy to "the service of reconciliation and harmony between peoples".Believers point out similarities between the prophecy's descriptions and past pontificates. Pope John Paul II, number 110, was described in the prophecy as "de labore solis"--or "of the labour of the sun".
He was born on May 18, 1920, the same day as a solar

eclipse, visible in the Americas.
Since Benedict is already 78 years old, they say Peter the Roman must be coming soon, and with him, the end of the world.

Yes you are right... The pope after Benedict the 16 will be simply called 'Peter the roman' and is the last pope.... in the last days...

The day that John Paul II (in loving memory) was burried there was a light eclipse. I was at the beach, I have have never seen the sunset so red in my life it was a prophetic site...

There was an eclipse the day he was born too, so ive read

Wow, like your dissertation ... where's the source?

Well, Catholics (my faith) don't really teach the "Armageddon" teachings the same as the Protestants & Baptists do. Rather, Armageddon is simply the end of one way of life and the begging of a new and better way of life; specifically in Chirst. "Rappture" isn't a normal sermon either.

I had this buddy as a kid who went to a Baptist Church, and Rappture sure did sound like a great way to avoid dying. Like the Virgin Mary was "Assummed" into heaven by Jesus, so will all who are "Rapptured" be "Assumed" by Jesus mind, body and soul.

So:
Please let it be Rappture (doing the Giraffe twist).
Please let it be Rappture (wiggle & jiggle)
Please let it be Rappture .... (giggle) ...

(No reallly, Please let it be Rappture)

.... This is a great demonstration of how prophecy is crap. It's called a self-fufilling prophecy. You don't think the popes pay attention to this when THEY CHOOSE THEIR NEW NAME?
