of those beliefs and yet when an Atheists ask a Christian about their beliefs they tell us we are stupid for asking or put us down telling us again that we will feel the wrath of God pretty soon?????

WHY?

What makes you think you are right when you have a 50% chance of being wrong?
And yes I know we have a 50% chance of being wrong also so don't use that ridiculous tactic again.
Somehow I just have to add once again that yes I know you have a 50% chance of being right, so do we so once more don't use that tactic, it's cheap.

...Or are they fully aware that there was no Jesus and that he was never more than a composite book character created from various previous myths but it doesn't matter to them anyway...they just want something to cling to even if it's not real, truth is not important to them.

If Christians would find out more about how the Bible came to be and where it drew much of it's material from...for example the Mesopotamian myths & stories of Gilgamesh...they might be much less confident that the Bible is the word of God and that it can be believed so readily.

When the psychotic brain dead Jihadist terrorist barbarians who blow themselves up in the name Allah are standing face to face with Jesus, will he pull the lever on the trap-door to hell, or will he give the filthy animals a chance to accept him as Lord and Savior to save their blackened souls from eternal death and torment?

I hope I'm like Buck Williams or Tsion Ben Judah and get to take Uzi's to the Holy Land and kill some anti-Christ followers! That would be great!

Thank you Jesus, Prince of Peace, for showing me Your Way!

I've been a wiccan my whole life and never really got any neg. feed back for it until I moved back to Kansas. Now it's like they all want to burn me at the stake. I have never used the craft the hurt another person, in fact I just try to help. One lady told me I was going to hell for my belief. Am I really doing something so wrong?

I have a No soliciting sign on my door for a reason... My home is my sanctuary and my fortress and I don't appreciate strangers Pimping anything, especially not their God at 9:30 am!

when I refered her to the No soliciting sign, she began to insist that she is "Not selling anything" and went into detail on how she "Works for a living, I have a job." and "Just wanted to talk with me."

Is this considered soliciting being that eventually, had I let them in they probably would have SOLD their GOd to me and then probably asked for a donation?

I think it should be covered in one sign. NO SOLICITING! What do I have to do, go out to get a sign saying NO DOOR TO DOOR GOD PIMPING too? Personally, it should be a one stop sign that coveres all!

I don't need to argue with anyone about anything at my own front door and personally, I don't call God pimping a job! Go peddle your arguments and the Watchtower elsewhere!

What do you think about this... and them in general

That way they won't have to send the collection plate around and beg other people for their money.

It would seem that God being all powerful, could easily arrange this and help his faithful do the work that he asked them to do.

Song of Songs 8:1-3 "If only you were to me like a brother, who was nursed at my mother's breasts! Then, if I found you outside, I would kiss you, and no one would despise me. I would lead you and bring you to my mother's house-- she who has taught me. I would give you spiced wine to drink [i.e., her vagina's semen!], the nectar of my pomegranates. His left arm is under my head and his right arm embraces me."

I find this highly absurd, showing those who ask this, to have NO notion of spirituality for a start!

Apart from that, most seen to think it's "because atheists are looking for God."

Using this reasoning then, WHY, can one find masses of "christians" in the Gay/Lesbian/Transgendered category, I wonder? Looking for justification of their repressed sexualities, perhaps?

"Christians", if you are going to use a flippant remark, be aware they work BOTH ways...

Why am I targeting "christians" with this? Because I have not yet seen another religion ask this about atheists.

For instance in the story of the merchants using the church, Jesus comes in furious and throws tables over and kicks everyone out. Someone says it's because the temple was only to be used for prayer and not for turning a profit. I ask you this, how many churches today, do you think use the church to turn a profit...?

Why do people continue to believe that the Bible was told to men so they might write it down?
There is proof that the Bible is not accurate let alone true. It has been changed so many times by the ones who translate it.
I am not here to BASH the Bible but to question the validity of it. Using it to help you live a better life, if that is what you need, is fine but why tell others it is a Truthful book with no mistakes or contradictions. Why can you not see what is true and what is fiction? There is proof and yet some choose not to believe it or even read it. WHY?

A serious question.

Being a simple atheist from the northeast, I'm curious about these mega-churches (after re-watching the 30 Days episode - Christian/Atheist)

Are these mega-churches "regulated"? Meaning, is there an oversight committee that make sure that they aren't too close together? Do these churches form by consolidating smaller churches in the same area or do they build it and drive the other smaller "mom and pop" churches out of business?
