...Or are they fully aware that there was no Jesus and that he was never more than a composite book character created from various previous myths but it doesn't matter to them anyway...they just want something to cling to even if it's not real, truth is not important to them.
If Christians would find out more about how the Bible came to be and where it drew much of it's material from...for example the Mesopotamian myths & stories of Gilgamesh...they might be much less confident that the Bible is the word of God and that it can be believed so readily.

My motives for question the existence are not evil at all, my search for the truth is ongoing and calling me names and trying to defame me personally makes you appear bad and to be without any other resources or argument but insult.

Religious belief fulfills an emotional need rather than a rational desire for knowledge, therefore truth is not important, as you say.

Your position is flawed for several reasons.
Jesus is an accepted and well documented historical figure ... much more so than many of the historical figures that we know about today, like George Washington, Napolean, Martin Luther, or Constantine.
Ample historical testimony exists to prove that Jesus was indeed a real, live person. Of that there can be no real dispute.
Of course, you don't need to accept it.
The best evidence for Jesus Christ is his church, and its' constant teachings about who and what he is, as well as the true to life, supernatural events in the life of the church, which are unparalleled in the history of mankind, and they continue to be.
Again, you don't have to believe this.
That's the beauty of it ... and also the truth of it.
As for your "insightful" and "shocking" revelations about the writings of the early Mesopotamians, that's old, old news, and it really doesn't mean a thing.
Nearly every civilization on earth shares some sort of a story about the flood. None of them are any more authoratative than the story in the Bible.
And the Bible story not only explains what preceeded the flood, but all that came after it ... "warts and all" ... for everyone to understand.
The Bible also contains valid, fulfilled prophecy ... lots of it ... as it was completely and accurately fulfilled in the very person of Jesus Christ ... the fellow you claim never existed.
No Mesopotamian book ... no book of any kind .. has ever been able to accurately predict the future ... and that sets the Bible apart as a true work of God.
There's more Bible prophecy, yet to be fulfilled.
Stick around and pay attention.
That "mythical" Jesus you can't accept has promised to come back. And it could very well happen in your lifetime.
God also has a great sense of humor.

You know where you are screwed up is that the 'Epic of Gilgamesh' was written after the time of Noah and based on the event.Trace memories of the world wide flood are all thru mankinds tribal memories including American Indians. As far as Jesus goes, ever read the' Antiquities ' by Flavius Josephus? He was there at the time of Jesus and was a Pharrisaical Jew.He was never a believer but he gave eyewitness accounts of Jesus the "Rabbi who went about doing good,He and His followers". Suetonias the Roman wrote to Rome about "the followers of one Chrestus or Christ that are stirring things up".No man,Jesus was real and so was King David and all the others you might try to mythologize.Deal with it.Besides every one of those diciples died preaching the risen Christ...you just don't do that for a lie.Especially if you are an eyewitness. You're not going to let them skin you alive for a BS story, maybe one nut but not 12 plus Paul and Stephen.

Actually, there is plenty of evidence. The most atheistic of scholars would be happy to tell you that Jesus the man was real. Regardless of your personal beliefs, Jesus the person was just as real as Augustus, or Pilate, or Caiaphas, or any of the other players in that story. To suggest the the historical details of the Bible are a fabrication, from an academic standpoint, is absurd.

Actually archaeologists believe some of the buildings and the synagogue in Capernium was built by a man called Jesus at about the time Jesus would have been in his late 20s. Most Christians believe Jesus was the "poor" son of a carpenter. ... Joseph was a skilled tradesman (carpenter), Automatically making him at least in the upper middle class. There are accounts of Joseph of Aramathia taking his Nephew with him when he traveled to Briton. Joseph of Aramathia spoke of the boy (Jesus) on more than one occasion. Research Joseph of Aramathia.......In retrospect the bible says little about WHO Jesus was, it talks about the prophesy of his being born and what he did and why he was going to do it, but NOT who he was.... as a "mortal man." Your sources will have to come from historical events of the time NOT from the bible..........

That merely feels like a hateful question, yet i will answer besides. there are a number of proofs that Jesus did exist in this earth and did carry out the miracles that are written contained in the Gospels. For something to be actual technically, you in basic terms choose one witness, of which of Jesus' resurrection there have been close to to 4000.

Two books which I always refer people to on here:
"Misquoting Jesus" by Bart D. Ehrman, and
"101 Myths of the Bible" by Gary Greenberg.
Ehrman is a theologian who used to be a right wing Christian--notice I said "used to."
Greenberg is a theologian who connects the Old Testament to Egyptian religions.

So, have you read the historians like Josephus who talked about Jesus? Did you research them?
I think I answered this same question yesterday. History tells us Jesus existed. Whether or not you believe He is the Son of God is the question.

Your Jesus premise is not entirely true.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Historicity_of_Jesus
See the section, "Non-Christian Writings."
You are correct about the Bible's origins, however. Almost every culture from the early OT time period has a "Noah's Flood" equivalent, many of which are older than the biblical account.

The fact that so many atheists are obsessed about what Christians believe make me believe even harder that there is a evil force (Satan) working in this world because why else would it bother you so much what another person believes??
Reply to original poster-
what are you talking about? I haven't called you any names nor have I tried to 'defame' you. Try reading before you get all snappy.
