of those beliefs and yet when an Atheists ask a Christian about their beliefs they tell us we are stupid for asking or put us down telling us again that we will feel the wrath of God pretty soon?????
WHY?
What makes you think you are right when you have a 50% chance of being wrong?
And yes I know we have a 50% chance of being wrong also so don't use that ridiculous tactic again.
Somehow I just have to add once again that yes I know you have a 50% chance of being right, so do we so once more don't use that tactic, it's cheap.

wolfy1: How very decent of you to make that statement. I accept your apology. I truly ask the questions because of my life's experiences, and I have had lots of them not at 58. Thank you sincerely.

Fairy, I am also an agnostic. I believe in a higher power or Creator or what ever but have real trouble with organized religion, the Bible and the story of Jesus as God.

It's never alright to make fun of anyone. We all need to learn to exercise more compassion.

It is not right and I apologize for those that do that. If the queastions are going to be asked they should notmake fun of anyone. In doing that they are turning you against what they have to say that might actually make some sense to you and you might change your way of thinking. On the other hand if they are mocking you why would you even consider it. I donot blame you for being upset. God has given us all the right of freedom of choice and whether we like it or not we need to repsect the people behind the choice of religion.

Honey christians can be very evil when they want to be. I assume some christian asked you a question about being an Atheist. They were just baiting you into an argument, they didn't really care about your response, they just wanted something to argue about since you don't believe what they believe. All people can be ignorant in this way, but I think christians and Jehovah witness have a special knack for this: because they just love to argue with people who don't believe the same things they do. Don't worry about those people, most christians would say they need Jesus, Ha Ha! I say we don't need no stinking religion in order to believe in God and anyone who wants to lure me into an argument about my PERSONAL beliefs is no friend of mine. People who push their religious beliefs off onto their friends and family and even strangers are just plain CRAZY! These people lack manners, and respect for others peoples opinions, you should not waste your time entertaining these idiots with any type of conversation. Simply state that you do not wish to discuss your personal beliefs, and walk away. I'm agnostic and I spend a great deal of my time defending my beliefs, but you know what I shouldn't. My moral, religious, or personal beliefs are for me and family members to know and it is not something that I need to discuss or defend to any religious organization.

It's more like we both have a 5% chance of being right.... think of all the other possible religions out there that could be right instead of either Christian or atheists...

There is fact and there is fiction. The fact that you have no evidence for your fiction does not give you a 50% chance of being right. Since there are an infinite number of possible religious views, your chance of being randomly right is not even 1%, let alone 50/50. I take it you're not a math professor?

There may be a 50% chance of those things you describe but there is a 100% chance that people suck.

because in the need to present a well thought out, scientific, fact backed argument the Christians are coming unprepared.
