I don't find them boring at all. I guess it is a matter of personal opinion.

A question to the asker of this question:
Do you find these answers boring?
Sounds to me like there are some pretty interesting Hindus and Buddhists answering your question out there. And funny too.
A dance floor is pretty boring too. It's the dancers who make it interesting. That's your koan for the day, Grasshopper.

y is hindu & buddhist philosophies so boring?
Yes, they are pretty boring, when you are not burning, maiming and blaming others it does become a bit boring. They just got to learn how to be scoundrels like the other main stream
religions.

I have Buddhist and Hindu friends and we frequently talk about our faiths without hostility toward one another's beliefs. One of the points I bring up is this: God asks people to believe in Jesus and come willingly to him. Religion asks people to do works in order to "enter heaven". All sincere Christians do is talk about what God says in his word and put their faith into prayer and action. Romans in the Bible might be a good place to read. Also John 3:16

You've never read any of it so how can you comment?
Buddhists seem to have it worked out fine because they've managed to avoid starting wars with others.....which is more than we can say for ....er.....Islam or Christianity for example.
Perhaps you should be looking at the Buddhists with admiration because they have acheived what all the Monotheistic faiths are supposed to try to acheive. And I've never seen a buddhist on here bragging about the superiority of their faith and insulting the faith of others.

Maybe because they lack talking animals and Zombies rising from the dead like Christianity. Nothing like Incest, Massacres of millions, talking animals and Walking Zombies to spice up a religious book.

So you expect a philosophy of life to be entertaining? I suggest trying hedonism then. It's exciting!
