I've been a wiccan my whole life and never really got any neg. feed back for it until I moved back to Kansas. Now it's like they all want to burn me at the stake. I have never used the craft the hurt another person, in fact I just try to help. One lady told me I was going to hell for my belief. Am I really doing something so wrong?

No you aren't doing anything wrong. The feedback you're getting is from some christians that believe in "their way or eternal damnation." According to many of them people of any other cristian denomination are also going to hell for not worshiping their god correctly. Just ignore those close-minded people and keep practicing *your* faith.

You are not anything wrong. Unfortunately some Christians believe that the only way to be saved is to follow their belief system. In their own way they are probably trying to help you. The stereotype of witches being evil has been around for a long time many people do not care to know the truth. I have a wiccan friend and she hides her beliefs. She avoids it in conversation and if she feels a judgmental person is asking her outright what religion she is she'll say Methodist. I don't necessarily believe that is right but that's how she avoids the arguments. By the way, I was raised christian and still attend church. Please don't judge all of us by the actions of a few fundamentalists.

I must ask you, does it feel wrong?
For many years I was in the public eye. I was open about being a Witch and very active in the Pagan community. I moved and had to become closeted for fear of my life.
It was very hard for me to acclimate back into the real world. I lived in a small town and was accepted by people of all faiths. Their opinions of me were based on my actions. I owned the only metaphysical shop in town and everyone I knew was either Pagan or Pagan friendly.
I moved to a large city and was shocked to find out not everyone was tolerant. I still did my thing, I just did it quietly. That may not seem fair, but I would rather people knew me well before they knew my religion because then it is a bit harder for them to judge based on my religion alone.
In the end everything worked out well for me and I have returned to my small community of Pagans, but while I was gone...the select few that found out I was a Witch have been changed forever. When I moved a man in the neighborhood that attended the Baptist church told me he felt like he was a better person for knowing me. He knew me by my deeds first.
I tend to ramble, I apologize. I think you should also know, I am in the deep south.

Blessings )O(

First of all no one can condemn you to hell but God. Second of all it is a popular misconception that wiccans are into black magic so I am not real surprised you are being treated badly. Sorry for the small minded few but if you are following the wiccan cree of harming none then what should it matter? In the bible it says suffer not a witch to live but I think at the time that was in reference to the egyptians who were doing miracles to disprove God's existance.

No, they are just ignorant. You moved to a bad area called the "bible belt" and most of your neighbors will be very unlikely to accept you because of your beliefs. My advice is to either move, or completely conseal your wiccan activities from them. Unfortunately, moveing would be better if they already know about it. Good luck, blessed be.

No you are not doing anything wrong. I used to live in the Bible Belt as well. Try being a Hindu in a mega-church metropolis! Stick with your beliefs. Inform those who will listen of your faith, and love on those who do not want to listen and judge you. Their ignorance gets in the way. Try to see through their hate and realize they are just misinformed.

depends upon how you use you craft. the witches I am acquainted believe they should " harm none " as their motto. remember in the Ancient Way those considered witches were ones who had healing knowledge and were able to cure people of many different diseases because of their knowledge of which plants, herbs to use. therefore the early witches were looked upon as evil because they broke GOD'S LAW preventing death in many instances. suggest you not advertise this fact in order to keep others from ridiculing you.

Christianity was founded by people that fear what they cant explain. and even today its an all or nothing game. there is nothing wrong with Wicca and if the bible bashing retards would do a little research they would also have a different view.
