It is a thought provoking series of books that are theologically sound.

The "Left Behind" books may have been entertaining fiction, but they do not teach the truth about the Bible.
The Bible says nothing about a "rapture" or a world leader known as the Antichrist. In fact, John wrote that there were many antichrists in the first century.
1 John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

Tim and Beverly LaHaye just get richer and richer off the rubes. Him and his Kiss My Left Behind novels and her and the Women of Faith meetings. Thank God for Jesus or they'd both be running elevators.
LaHaye knows as much about Revelations as he knows about human psychology given his ridiculous counseling books which are right up there with utter voodoo. If you want to truly understand Revelation and not simply be led astray by con artists who provoke hysteria for a profit, get a book called Four Views of Revelations edited by C. Marvin Pate.

I don't believe in the rapture. It is not mentioned in the Bible. Yes it talks of some that will go up in the clouds and some will be left behind, but the verses BEFORE that say that happens when Jesus returns to Earth.

Someone bought me that book years ago and I never read it. I believe in God but I found no good reason to scare the crap out of myself. I've read Revelations plenty of times. That's good enough for me.

I don't read science fiction, but it sounds very much like the Christian god of loving kindness who's coming back to make sure all those evil Jews burn in hell for eternity. Jesus sounds very much like his "loving" father who sent him to earth to suffer an agonizing death on the cross without bring peace to much of anyone at all!

Why is someone who believes the world is coming to an end trying to make so much money from books? Why would he need the money if the world is ending?

I thought they were interesting and it's good that they made you re-examine your walk. Do keep in mind however that they are fiction based on scripture and not scripture itself.
