When you buy a ticket for a lottery you are 100% certain the ticket and the lottery are both valid. Your only uncertainty is that you have only a tinny tiny percentage of winning the jackpot.
With religion, you are not even certain that the ticket (the religious book & the lottery company (god) are valid, and you are not even certain if there is a jackpot.

If god is never wrong why are there som many contradictions in it?
And if it is a timeless guide, why do so many christans say that some passages dont apply today, just the lessons they teach us. i know you will want some exsamples so here ya go:
this first one is both a contradiction and does not apply today.....
contradiction #1 :How should a man who has sex with a menstruating woman be punished?
He shall be unclean for seven days.
Leviticus 15:24
And if any man lie with her at all, and her flowers be upon him, he shall be unclean seven days; and all the bed whereon he lieth shall be unclean.

He and the woman shall be cut off from among their people.

Leviticus 20:18
And if a man shall lie with a woman having her sickness, and shall uncover her nakedness; he hath discovered her fountain, and she hath uncovered the fountain of her blood: and both of them shall be cut off from among their people.
thats just one, i can go on and on.

The Quran says that Allah created man in his image--then why do you hate Jews? If Allah created ALL men including Jews, wouldn't you be hating Allah by hating Jews or anyone else for that matter since they were created in Allah's image?

Why then do people call President Bush a murder? When we go after our enemies from other countries for what they are threating to do to us and have murdered American soliders and citizens, and we retalieate in self-defense how is that considered murder?

Would you sit back and do nothing if a family member was assaulted? Or would you come to their defense and do whatever it took to stop the assault?

Why is there such a gulf between the various forms of christianity?

Catholic-Protestant-Methodist-Presperterian-Born Again-Jehovahs Witnesses-Baptists-Mormons-Anglicans-Plymouth Brethren-Greek Orthodox-Jewish etc etc etc etc...

I have lived and worked with some real extremes and they hate each other more than they hate Non-Christians..... why?

It was angel Gabriel who announced to virgin Mary that she was expecting Jesus. It was also angel Gabriel who brought Allah's words to Mohammed. (Correct me if I'm wrong in any of the instances). My question is if angel Gabriel appears in the Torah or has any role in the Jewish religion. Thank you.
