If god is never wrong why are there som many contradictions in it?
And if it is a timeless guide, why do so many christans say that some passages dont apply today, just the lessons they teach us. i know you will want some exsamples so here ya go:
this first one is both a contradiction and does not apply today.....
contradiction #1 :How should a man who has sex with a menstruating woman be punished?
He shall be unclean for seven days.
Leviticus 15:24
And if any man lie with her at all, and her flowers be upon him, he shall be unclean seven days; and all the bed whereon he lieth shall be unclean.
He and the woman shall be cut off from among their people.
Leviticus 20:18
And if a man shall lie with a woman having her sickness, and shall uncover her nakedness; he hath discovered her fountain, and she hath uncovered the fountain of her blood: and both of them shall be cut off from among their people.
thats just one, i can go on and on.

Ok how explain this one:
Do Christians know how to pray?
Yes, Jesus taught them how to pray.
Matthew 6:9-13
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
No, they don't know how to pray.
Romans 8:26
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

I don't see how that is a contradiction. Perhaps you should keep reading.

The Bible isn't wrong. You haven't taken enough time to study it closely enough. You are also misquoting.
First of all, get a more understandable version than King James English. Try New Living Translation. Better yet, read it in the original Hebrew or try studying it down to the original Hebrew with a concordance. The meaning often changes dramatically when you go back to the original root words. The New Living Translation sheds more meaning on Lev. 20:18.
It doesn't appear to refer to man and wife. Sounds more like what would be considered adultery. It says in the NLT that he will have "discovered" the source of her flow. Well, if he was her husband he would already know. Keep in mind too, that in ancient Hebrew culture, blood had extreme significance. The symbolism was always that the "life" was in the "blood."
That was all old testament law. Much of it was useful for the Israelites living in the desert, but not much use nowdays....except of course the Ten Commandments. They never go out of fashion.

Any God-fearing man will be guided by God's words true to its meaning, because we all know God will not falter and execute things against mankind, His own creation. Bible, as claimed by most Christians today, is a God's word. The fact is that it is not God's word. There are so many versions of bible, just to mention the old and new testaments, for example. During the medieval era, whoever was the king, King George IV, V, VI, VII and so on, had his own fantasy about the bible. Hence each king was keen to publish his own version of bible. Accordingly, if one particular verse or stanza didn't suit a king, he simply threw it out and added his own version. Next came another king who also did the same thing. Therefore, one particular message, originally found in an earlier edition of the bible, was thrown out for two, three editions and again found its place in the final version or later. Naturally there were six or seven versions of bible mentioning King George IV edition, King George V edition and so on. Hence, it is not a wonder there were lot of contradictions, as you yourself have quoted a couple of readings from the current editions. Had the bible been a God's word, even a small comma could never be changed in line with the message it was meant for the mankind. Accordingly, the entire bible is full of controversies leading to the conclusion that it is wrong.

Start with the fact that the Bible is not one book, but many different documents written by many different people over centuries.
Even if we grant that they books were divinely inspired, there's still a lot of translation and interpretation going on when they are transcribed. In that process, many mortal imperfections creep into the works -- spiritual typos if you want to think of that way.
As far as "wrong", that's a subjective evaluation. Some people like to interpret the bible figurative, and thus the stories cannot be wrong if they are successful in conveying the lesson in them.
Let's take the example you gave. Remember what health codes and knowledge of medicine were like in those days. Almost non-existant. Neither was anti-bacterial soap, and often not a lot of water. So, if someone became covered in blood, that was a perfect breeding ground for flies, lice, and various infections.
So, the concept of being "unclean" arose from literally "not clean". And anyone who was not clean was a potential health risk. But if they didn't get sick within seven days, by then the risk was lower. So, it all depends on how the passage was read in the context of the time.

The law of the old testament is passed way with the ressurection of christ. The law was never created for men to be able to follow completely it was meant to be unperfect and perfected by christ in his mercy. no man could have kep the law in its entirety thats why the bible says
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
just another bit of advice...you can twist the bible to say whatever you want it to, you can take materials out of their context(like you have) and make it sound a way to make a twisted point. Religions such as Mormonism and Jehovah's Witness' have done just that to form their cults. But beware what God says will be done to those who do so...
Revelation 22:18-20 (King James Version)
18For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
20He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

Why are you promiscuous? You don't have any statement to prove that the bible is wrong. Why you don't read other versicle instead of "And if a man shall lie with a woman having her sickness, and shall uncover her nakedness; he hath discovered her fountain, and she hath uncovered the fountain of her blood: and both of them shall be cut off from among their people". You can do with your fat *** whatever you want too. Period

You are quoting from the Old Testament. God gave these laws to the Israelites through Moses to keep the population pure. When that didn't quite work out, he sent His son with a second, simpler set of rules and commandments. Follow those.

Bible is not a Word of God anymore, it has been written and re-written by people numerous times till today. According to Awake! magazine there are reportedly 50,000 errors in the Bible. See the link below.

Sounds pretty clear to me: the people are unclean...where's the contradiction. Being cut off from their people is part of being unclean.
As for it not applying, well I question even then how much each person knew about each other's periods. I sure don't know about my neighbor's periods, so can you really say it doesn't apply?? Or we just don't know?

You are correct - God is never wrong, and His word when he gave it to the prophets of the Bible was not wrong, but it has been since translated and copied by men, who are often wrong. Also, something may appear to be wrong in our language, whereas in the original language it may make perfect sense. We hope that the errors in the Bible are few, since we rely on it for truth from God, and we trust that He has kept it accurate in the most important points.

You're taking it out of context...and anyone who says it doesn't apply to today isn't a true Christian. Maybe you should read the entire Bible before you criticize it. Why don't I just sit here and criticize Shakespear even though I've never read a thing by him in my whole life?
