This eventually lead to their 70-year capture by the Babylonians, then to a second dispursion after Herod's Temple was destroyed in 70 AD.

for example during Solomons reign him and the king of the area now known as Lebanon were on very good terms. They even donated wood for the construction of the Temple.

The Edomites on the other hand were constantly fighting and in a state of tension with the Israelites.
