if i saw enough evidence i would believe Jesus died for my sins. but i don't. why would a Loving God condemn me to eternal torture for something that is out of my hands? i can't control whether i believe in God or not any more then you can control whether you believe your hair is made out of spaghetti or not.

I know that being left or right brained doesn't have to do anything with beliefs but I am curious to know. I would like to ask the same thing to the Christians later.

In The gospel of the flying spaghetti monster it says that you must accept his noodliness to be saved. WHY DO U REFUTE? He is the only way. Christians will not get beer volcano and stripper also. The gospel of the FSM clearly says 'Ye shall not hold other gods before me.' That includes the christian lord, why do you feel you are above him? When you meet his noodliness in the afterlife what will you tell him? I'm sry I didn't believe in you now give me my beer volcano??? I DONT THINK SO BUDDY!
Just accept the FSM in your heart and you will be saved.

I recieved such awseme advice that I decided that I should ask this one also.
In my first question I wanted to know the best way to choose and go to church to help Him be in my childrens' lives. Now answer this.
My husband was raised Catholic, very lax. He also had a bad experiance with a cult, through his brother. He doesn't want anything to do with church or going to church. How do I get him involved? Everytime I mention church he is snide.
If I go to church and take the children with me, and he doesn't follow - what kind of strain will that put on our relationship. My husband is wonderful.I've been with him for 11 years. I want him to grow with me, but he is reluctant, to say the least (at least in this decision). He is simular in his belief that God is with him and that he doesn't necessaraly need a church to believe. He's just down on church all together. How do I change that?
Also what is tything and is in required, or important?

Why do people judge others races and thier religion? It's so stupid! Why can't people accept others for who they are. We are human just like everyone else. Just because they are different from you, doesn't mean you can talk about them.

This should be fun for all of us!

I would have to say, for myself, that I would be Job at this point in my life. I am going through many things similar to what he went through and his life example has taught me a lot on how to handle what I am currently going through. Esther and Ruth are also good examples I would like to attain to, with Esther willing to sacrifice her life to save her people and Ruth forsaking all to take care of her mother in law and the Lord rewarding her for her faithfulness.

choose not to go to Hell? because other people told me that i have to believe Jesus died for my sins or that the Bible is true. but answerers to this question http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Aj0FQt_gOtHOfqXRBKHeF07zy6IX?qid=20060905150319AATGdgE
say that a Loving God would only send me to Hell if i choose to go to Hell. and that sounds good, because i know i don't want to go to Hell but i also can't believe Jesus died for my sins.

Why? I am not trying to be rude but why do A LOT of woman like to lie when they are asked where they are from?

You ask them " What nationality are you from?"

Then they tell you " Oh I am a mutt I am 1/2 chineese, 1/3 italian, 1/5 German , 1/8 French, 1/3 Portuguese, 1/2 Chiwawa and part German Sheperd"

It's silly they mention every country in the world and the most annoying part is when they finish naming half the world they finish it off all the time by saying :

"Oh yeh I'm also part native American "Cherokee"!

Then I ask them oh which family member is french or whatever and they always say oh my grandma or great grandma that they know nothing about.

I find this highly annoying.....I asked a simple question where you were from and NOT for you to trace your blood origins.

I mean I am from Central America ( El Salvador) I am light skinned with light hair. Where people ask me where I am from I DONT say

"oh I am part Mayan Indian and 1/2 Spanish."

I mean seriously...Christians make such a big deal about Jesus getting some nails in his hands and hanging on a cross...but what about the Women and Children that were raped and slaughtered by early christians invading Jerusalem...and then what about the christians who were burned and tortured in incredibaly horrible ways after Jesus died...I mean seriously...Jesus being the son of God Probably didn't feel a thing...He just had to act hurt to make it more legit...

We who know the news, know he told his TV audience God would "take him home" if he did not get his followers to come up with that much money. Anyone in their right mind should have seen the scam in that counterfeit clergyman and not send him anything at all but people did send him money. So might what I heard be true? And if other clergy are just like him and in it just for the money, can the nations unite against those heartless greedy con men? By, may be taxing them as a business since they are no more than a counterfeit religion in truth which should not have the tax rights of a religion? And give that money back to the people? Our the global governments use it wisely for their peoples real needs? Might be the national leaders can give real teeth to the United Nations for the first time in its 61 years in October on the 24th? Might that bring some kind of peace and security if we did not have dishonest clergy in the money making business but still have freedom for the honest ones?

Jesus said " For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.". Do you feel secure in your own power to live this life and the one after the death of your physical body. Jesus predicted accurately that you type of people would find it very hard to follow God into His kingdom. "Those who see no want see no need."

Because the idea of a God that loves you and yet would watch you suffer for all eternity is ridiculous. "I love you, so I'm going to provide you with a bunch of inconsistent, often ridiculous scriptures that contradict common sense and offers no proof of my existence, besides telling you to believe, and if that old book and a bunch of people with blind faith don't convince you, well then you get to be subjected to excruciating pain forever." How reasonable the great lord is.

Plus nothing in the original texts provides such a gruesome image of hell, that all started around the time of the Divine Comedy (Dante's Inferno). Besides all that it is way too obviously a humanidea. No all powerful God would be as flawed or so vengeful, only a human would conceive the "follow me or be damned for eternity" idea. A way to make people feel better about busting their asses to be good people while others coast by on sinful clouds of joy. This makes me feel very safe from any hell, anyone else?

I mean all-knowing is a pretty intense concept, but are we capable of knowing everything there is to know and is it something we should work towards.
I bet the responsibility would be huge if you knew what the slightest thought in your head could accomplish.

I am a scaredy cat, simply put. a stupid television series that is slightly horror, or a friend telling too many tales of 'ghost stories' is enough to set me off. as you can tell i have yet to venture into the 'exorcist' category of movies. i would be a blubbering idiot at the end of that!
Afterwards i cant sleep alone in a room at night in the dark, i think about whats under the bed, or when i go to the loo, or shower, or have to wash my face with my eyes shut or any number of ordinary things.
I think i am less scared of the prospect of an intruder than i am of the plain old heebie-jeebies.
this sometimes does interfere with my life, but its a part of who i am. oh, and whether i have just seen a scary movie or not, i will never sleep with the lights off if i am alone. i always imagine there is someone in the corner watching me, or will tug at my blanket any second. See what i am talking about?
Anyone else who is as nutty as me?
