I am a scaredy cat, simply put. a stupid television series that is slightly horror, or a friend telling too many tales of 'ghost stories' is enough to set me off. as you can tell i have yet to venture into the 'exorcist' category of movies. i would be a blubbering idiot at the end of that!
Afterwards i cant sleep alone in a room at night in the dark, i think about whats under the bed, or when i go to the loo, or shower, or have to wash my face with my eyes shut or any number of ordinary things.
I think i am less scared of the prospect of an intruder than i am of the plain old heebie-jeebies.
this sometimes does interfere with my life, but its a part of who i am. oh, and whether i have just seen a scary movie or not, i will never sleep with the lights off if i am alone. i always imagine there is someone in the corner watching me, or will tug at my blanket any second. See what i am talking about?
Anyone else who is as nutty as me?

Perhaps you should stop watching horror shows, they do portray and misuse the truth especially about ghost. What I can tell you, especially if you don't want to see one is to leave at least a night light on, because they usually aways come when the lights are out completely, I know, I seen enough, Steven King could not do some of what I saw. but Ghost WILL NOT HURT YOU, they are scary only if you don't have the knowledge, it took me a while to get use to it, some are Angels and Spirits from Heaven that come and visit and give messages, they are mistaking for ghost, ghost won't hurt you, most are very nice, they are scare of you usually. Let me say this, there is so many out there, I should keep my camera ready, man the pictures I've could of had.
Seriously, my girlfriend got a nice back rub from one, it touched my head nicely, pull the blanket off me, just to wake me nicely, another time, it held my hand as I woke up, there was two man and woman that both glowed, and when she finally spoke to me, the most beautiful voice I ever heard, my first thought was, she's a Angel, she com me down when she spoke. They will not hurt you. I had one scare me real bad once, came up to me close enough that we were kissing sorta speak, it came fast and startle me, I was jumpy for a month after that, but it took off, and I sensed it's thought and it said oh noo I am scaring the hell out of him........... I am one of those that have a gift that see Ghost and Spirits, and feel what they want to say, I felt the Lord presence once when He came down on me, and I felt in my head what He said "I am happy with you" is what he said to me. it's all spiritual, and basically good and a lot to do with Heaven.

I believe in ghost, and a great cloud of witnesses from above HEB 12:1. I don't live my life in worry about the unseen.

I used to be afraid of many things.
now i am more comfortable in the dark than i am in the light.
give me a starlight forest over a daylight city any time.
the only way to overcome fear is to face it head on and kick it's ***.
fear is a mental thing, it is an emotion that you allow yourself to feel.
i would suggest that you meditate on the things that scare you.
and then meditate on yourself being the stronger.
when you view yourself as a strong person fewer things will scare you. not only physical strength but mental strength.

You just have to go into that corner and peek under your bed to see for yourself there is nothing there, scary and hard, yes. But you will feel better afterwards.

This sounds like it might be an extreme enough situation to warrant seeking medical help.
