Jesus said " For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.". Do you feel secure in your own power to live this life and the one after the death of your physical body. Jesus predicted accurately that you type of people would find it very hard to follow God into His kingdom. "Those who see no want see no need."

Your question is back to front, it should be "Are you to poor to understand". Believing in religion or God is a mental illness.

Religion is a serious mental illness. It’s the inability to face the reality of life and the finality of death. It affects 85% of the USA and 75% of US victims are Christians. The more pathetic and desperate a persons life, the more likely they are to believe in a god. People with otherwise empty lives, are the strongest believers. It gives them false hope that there’s a higher meaning to their sad and pathetic lives.

It’s a statistical fact that the higher your education, income, and intelligence, the more likely you are not to believe in a god. For every college student that converts to a religious belief system, 17 college students convert to atheist beliefs. Atheists have an average intelligence of 25 IQ points above their Christian counterparts.

I don't want to be confused with a Bible follower, but I do know that the "eye of a needle" referred to the passage between two steep mountains. Difficult, not impossible, to get through. I actually like that one.

You can never be too wealthy for God. If you think you are then it's time to unload some of the wealth.
