Yes,but that's not how.If God is everything he is supposed to be,and he makes the rules, why didn't he just do away with the whole sacrifice thing instead of sending his son for that?He wanted to stop the senseless murder of animals,so he sends his only son to take THEIR place! I would have just made up new rules such as...oh,I don't know, tell me you love me every day,say a few prayers praising me forever, and just forget about the pigeons and sheep. So we were conned, but on a different level.I think the Jesus is God thing just means that they are both divine.

Conned by what? The Judeo-Christian tradition which asserts that while Jesus is a part of the Godhead; that God in the form of Jesus Christ came as the supreme sacrifice for man's sins, to fulfill the letter of the law; and yet did not remain in the grave, conquered by sin and death, but was raised to life again to conquer sin, death, and the grave, for all mankind? Or should we believe the alternative? That Jesus was merely another man; a great prophet, but merely a man? That Confucius, the Buddha, Mohammed, Moses, and Jesus were all great prophets, but still merely men? That there is no such thing as sin? That there is no such thing as good or evil in the world? That God is dead? Or that God is not really interested in what happens here on earth; that He is out there in His universe someplace just doing His thing? That the Bible is not true? That the Rig-Veda and Upanishads of Hinduism are? That the Gospel of Buddha is true? That the Qu'ran is true? That the Talmud is true? That the Zend-Avesta, Bundahishn, and Visperads of Zoroastrianism are true? Or that no religion is any better or worse than any other? Which "con" are you referring to? If you haven't read the Bible or for that matter any of these other sacred writings, then what exactly are you basing you claims on? Second or third hand information?

Thousands upon thousands of people for over 2000 years have attested to the fact of Jesus Christ and His vicarious, atoning death upon the cruel, accursed cross of Calvary for the sins of the world. Shall we discard their testimony as well?

I submit to you that yes, the world has been conned, but not by the Bible! Maybe by some of those who interpret it in the way that they choose to; for what ever reasons they may choose to! But that is not the real con. The real con is the notion that ALL religions are the same; and even that is a misnomer, for although Christianity can be viewed and practiced as merely a religion, it can also and should be much more than that -- it should be a relationship with God the Father; God the Son, Jesus Christ; and God the Holy Spirit! Religion will NEVER get you to heaven! But the Son of God, Jesus Christ can, through the gracious gift of His sacrifice on the cross of Calvary for you and me. Don't be fooled by the "con" of "religion" for there will be a multitude of religious people in hell!

After the death came the Resurrection so Jesus died but is not dead. Not to mention the fact that all that died was the human nature that Jesus took on for Himself.

Jesus Christ is part of the Trinity of God. He is the son of God the Father. And yes Jesus did die, but he rose again in three days, so even if there wasnt a trinity, Jesus is still alive

I'm not religious, but Jesus wasn't God. Jesus is the son of God. Pick up a bible and read it. For that matter, pick up a bunch of different bibles so you can see how different they are. It shows that man is very creative, especially Joseph Smith! Mormonism is ridiculous.

No. You missed a very important part of that story. After three days he rose from the dead. Since he did not die the second time-- since the event of death has to occur for someone to be dead then he is not dead.

This is where most people get it wrong, Jesus had already taken on our supposed sins in the garden before he was captured. he did not have to die but chose to do so anyways sort of like a promo of whats to come if you believe in him. read the bible it is all in there.

Jesus died on the cross, and it's just not in the bible. Several writers of the time commented on it, and his resurection.

John 10:30, "I and the Father are one."

A member of the Trinity experienced death for you.

11Let him that does unrighteously do unrighteously still; and let the filthy make himself filthy still; and let him that is righteous practice righteousness still; and he that is holy, let him be sanctified still.

12Behold, I come quickly, and my reward with me, to render to every one as his work shall be.

13*I* [am] the Alpha and the Omega, [the] first and [the] last, the beginning and the end.

14Blessed [are] they that wash their robes, that they may have right to the tree of life, and that they should go in by the gates into the city.

15Without [are] the dogs, and the sorcerers, and the fornicators, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and every one that loves and makes a lie.

16*I* Jesus have sent mine angel to testify these things to you in the assemblies. *I* am the root and offspring of David, the bright [and] morning star.

17And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that hears say, Come. And let him that is athirst come; he that will, let him take [the] water of life freely.
