I am a Catholic and for me this would be the Muslims adherence to their faith regardless of the personal cost, the Orthodox Jewish women's modesty, Buddahists peace and meditation, the Amish for their attempt to live peaceful simple lives and the Jehova's Witness's desire to study and know, and I must add the Naturalists approach to respecting nature, this includes the Native American religions.
Peace Be With You,
Debra

A Catholic friend and I were having lunch today, discussing religion, and neither of us could remember the fate of the souls in Limbo. By the way, souls in Purgatory do go to heaven on Judgment Day, don't they? Thanks for your help.

It seems to me that a lot of atheists and non believers(keep in mind that not all non believers wish to be called atheists) seem to think they are exempt from having to display good moral character. Since they have no fear of going to hell they feel they can do anything they want and nothing could be further from the truth. Whether a person believes in God or not homosexuality still defies the laws of nature, murder, theft, adultery, wreckless, lustful acts of fornication, lying and other immoral acts are all still wrong. Even without believing in God, heaven or hell these acts are all wrong. Being a person of good character and showing love and respect for our neighbor is still something that is mandated whether a person believes in God or not. It is not a free pass to live wrecklessly. Are you with me?

I was watching Breakthrough with Rod Parsley because they were talking about the prophecies of the end so that I could figure out how long till I could go to his church and tell him he was wrong and make him admit he doesn't know what he is talking about.
But his boyfriend was on the show and was talking about one of the signs of the end being the shedding of innocent blood which he said meant abortion. So I have to ask there have been 100 of thousands of innocent people killed in the war in Iraq, the conflict between Israel and Lebanon, terrorists attacks, violence on the streets and so on yet the shedding of innocent blood is abortion so my question is why do Christians only seem to give a damn about fetus life but not about human beings that are born and walking around?

We were estranged (her choice) since April, and it has been a difficult time for me since April, as I loved my wife and still do. Her behaviour had changed noticeably, and with what I know now I suspect the cancer was the cause.

Her family had always hated our marriage (we'd eloped) and so I was not told nor given an opportunity to attend the service. She passed away on the 19th after a brief battle, and I've only learned of it today thanks to her lawyer sending mine a death certificate.

Needless to say I am grieving, and just can't stay with you while I go through this.

I will be back.

While I'm gone I hope you will love one another as you'd be loved. Bear in mind I am not the only one grieving this night, and there are many who need your love, not your hatred or your fear. Be kind. Life is brief and when it is done, there will be no chance for you to make ammends with each other.

Value Life. Value Love. Value each other as brothers and sisters who are all seeking.

Who considers Christianity to be a cult, and Christ to be the equivalent of David Koresh or Jim Jones?

Why or why not??

It seems that Christians through the years have morphed Jesus into a super white dude. However if you look at the region Jesus came from, he would've most likely looked like what a modern day Arab does today. Why do white people always have to screw stuff up!? What do you think?

PS I'm not a Christian, however I believe Jesus existed, but only as a non white man.

PEACE.

If a Holy man deliberately drowned someone during a full immersion Baptism, would he be charged with murder, or would the church get him off??

This is a reposting of an earlier question. I wanted to add some follow up questions.

Christians, do you follow God to go to heaven? Or do you follow God because He is good? What if there had been no promise of heaven? Or what if there is a promise of heaven, but you have to do BAD things (in other words what if God had been BAD).

Please don't take offense. I've wanted to ask this question for a while. Thanks.

Would you still have followed God if he asked you to slaughter your own child (or anyone for that matter), like he asked of Abraham? And I know God was just testing and didn't let Abraham go through with it. But pretend you didn't know that. Or what if He asked you to leave your family in the desert? (And Abraham did actually do that.) Would you do it for God?

I've asked on here some serious questions about the materialistic lives of some of America's biggest tv preachers. I got a very negative response from some fans of multimillionaire televangelists. I used reputable links from news sites, and other christian websites to prove my point about the lives of these millionaires.

For example, Jerry Falwell recieving 3.5 million from Rev. Moon-who claims he's the real messiah. And Benny Hinn and Joyce Meyer's very, very rich lives-combined they own 9 MANSIONS! Or Jesse Duplantis buying a 18 million dollar jet-while his city was underwater from Katrina. And his ministry was claiming near poverty to help his neighbors.

Of course love of material goods, and riches is forbidden in the bible. But some people on here defended their rich lifestyles, false revelations supposedly direct from God, etc. With money..they're not bondservants of Jesus.

So to make them happy, my question is....WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE MULTIMILLIONAIRE TELEVANGELIST?

I am 31 with Congestive Heart failure, and I have an irregular rythym called "atrial tacacardia" that comes and goes. This abnormal rythm keeps casuing me other serious problems with my heart, i've been told the only option is to get a pacemaker...they would go in and burn the rythm to stop it but my doctor thinks its to risky. I know and beleive that God can remove this from my body and my heart, if I just beleive in him. If I can just get rid of this arrythima then I can deal with my heart failure much better. Please pray for me and help me ask God to remove this arrythima from my body or help the doctor to take care of it by burning it, so I don't have to get a pacemaker, and that I can feel better.......May god bless you all!!! Thank you for your prayers!!!!!

This is a follow up to my prior question. please read my additonal comments.
First of all, hw dare any question another's faith? I won't even touch that. Secondly, I am sure alot of you people are speaking out of both sides of your motuhs...So many Christians condemn gays for their actions or teenage mothers for having an abortion... I ask you this, how many eople in your church or synagouge are on their second marriage...how many of your children are disrespectful to parents...how many of you give your time to help the poor and widows?? You sit back and cast judgemnt on those who have not been blessed to know god as you do...you think you are really worthy of his grace.. Have you forgotten the wood plank sticking out of your eye?? You generation of vipers...we should all fall on our faces and beg for God's frogiveness. What I was simply stating in my last post, is this. should we ot show compassion on those who have sin in their lives the same way God has shown his grace 2 us?

I went to Mass on Sunday. After communion I started feeling funny, but good. Then the people around me all started waving their arms about, and pointing and laughing, and I thought it was the best Mass ever, because I was having a real divine experience. So was everyone else. I was finally getting the visions I'd heard people getting in the middle ages, I saw angels and animals dancing and time slowed down to a standstill and I could smell sounds and taste colors, and everyone seems to be having their own special experience too.

Later, when one nervous lady went to her doctor about feeling nauseous, it turns out that it wasn't a divine vision, it was either mold on the host (which our priest keeps in a damp cupboard, I've seen it), or someone had tampered with them with something like LSD, making them hallucinogenic.

Thing is, it was the best Mass I've ever been to. I want all Masses to be like that, not all that boring droning from the priest. Does anyone else agree?

"It's Satan who makes people rebel against God, as he rules this planet, It is only by believing that Christ conquered Satan on the cross, that you can overcome with His help. "

What the heck does this mean? Satan rules this planet? That means that God is not all powerful?

Christ conquered Satan on the cross? If satan is conquered, how does he still rule the planet?
