First of all, do you want the Christian interpretation, or the truth?
If you want to know the truth, your power has been given to a shadow government. They have secreted themselves in every major religion and distorted their true teachings. They use TV, radio, media, commercial advertizing, video games, (etc) to use mind control. These members are of 13 royal families whose puppets currently govern just about every country on the planet, and are working towards total global rule. they want to reinstall "divine right of kings" by 2012. Using population control, creating police/ facist states, turning all money into one currency, and create a New World Order. Where people can't question their government. If you don't think it can happen, ask the peaceful protestors in San Francisco who were shot with rubber bullets for questioning Bush's policies. Satan is not the father of lies, he is a lie. He doesn't exist, but Jesus does. Yes the shadow government practices satanism, but they laugh at all those living in fear of their creation.
Take back your power, and stand up for your constitution.

This is kind of confusing. But I think that I might be able to help. Satan ruling the planet is totally true. As soon as Adam and Eve took a bite of the fruit, God gave up control to Satan of this world. But guess what, he's only letting him for a while. Soon, he will take down Satan in the battle of the cosmos, Satan will be thrown into hell.
When the quote talks about God conquering Satan, it is more conquering Satan's power over us. We no longer are held by Sin. We can turn to God for salvation, Satan has no power as long as we keep to God's path.

That does sound tricky doesn't it. There is a strange relationship between Satan and God, especially if you read Genesis. Jesus himself called Satan the prince of this world. For some reason, God has allowed Satan some freedom and some power on earth but of course God's power is greater. The only way you can overcome Satan is to utilize God's power through his Holy Spirit. Jesus also says that this will be the case until Jesus once and for all comes back to this earth and Satan is destroyed once and for all and sent to the pit reserved for him and his followers. Only God knows what the big picture is. Jesus says that if you don't follow God, Satan is your father. Scary isnt it.

With all the death, destruction, and pain in the world I don't know how you can argue that Satan doesn't rule it. Yes, God is all powerful, but he also gives us a choice. In order to make it a real choice he allows for Satan's existence. A world without Satan is like democratic elections in Iraq under Sadaam Hussein. God gave us the ability to choose. Many choose to turn away from God hence all the suffering in the world, but there are a few that choose Him.
Don't worry about Satan though. Justice will be served in the end.

Satan challenged God in The Garden by causing HIS (GOD'S) people to rebel against the Father and disobey ONE, I REPEAT, ONE and only ONE command---not to eat of the fruit of the tree of the knowlege of good and bad--there was PLENTY of delicious food there to satisfy the first couple---the challenge was this (and still is), that people will not listen to God and prosper, that instead, they will follow all the ways of this world (can't you tell that it's SATAN'S WORLD?) and so, God's NAME, YAHWEH, was slandered. Now, THE SOVEREIGN KING, YAHWEH, has all the time in the world and beyond to wait until HIS APPOINTED DAY which HE has set for the SANCTIFICATION OF HIS HOLY NAME.----ARMAGGEDON--Then HE will take back HIS rightful rulership---Are you all listening? Just like a thief in the night, it's coming.
Satan can't stop it--not one of the demons can stop it--these are the ones that are causing soooooo many problems with all of their wickedness--and it's going to get soooo much worse before the end of this system (SATAN'S SYSTEM).
Satan has been judged already, condemned to death, that is why Satan is trying to take down as many as possible now and at the end of Christ's thousand year rule which starts after Armageddon.

Satan has been conquered and will be conquered in the final showdown as well but it says in the bible that god has let him loose on the earth to walk to and fro accusing us as he will. There will come a time when he will no longer be allowed to speak in front of GOD about any of his followers and then he will be cast out into the pit., which he shall inhabit for a millenium.

Satan does not make anyone do anything. People choose whom they will serve. God rules the Universe, Satan had temoprary dominion here but not contol over those who choose to serve God. He is here to show his side, and once it's played out in it's fullest, his reign will end for the Universe will know that God is Good.

God permits Satan to have the illusion of his dominion here, yes. This means that Satan does have power here. And all it means with regard to God's omnipotence is that God has ceded some of his power. Part of omnipotence is the ability to give others power. If you have all power, you can all-powerfully decide not to exert your power sometimes.
The battle for human souls is already won, but remember that God exists outside of time and space. We are inside time and space, and so we perceive the battle to be continuing. God already won it--won it before Satan began, because no one can defeat God--but we just don't perceive it.
Such are the natures of omnipotence and of space and time.
Moreover, Christ defeats Satan in human lives today--i.e., in ways we do perceive--when one accepts salvation. Satan loses his power over people who are living in God's grace.

Satan Retains Rule By Deceiving
Satan, however, has been permitted to retain rule of the earth. Christ did not deny this, for Matthew 4:3-10 says, "The devil taketh Him (Christ) . . . and sheweth Him all the kingdoms of the world . . . and saith unto Him, all these things will I give Thee, if Thou wilt fall down and worship me." They were the devil's kingdoms to give -- he ruled over them. He rules over this earth! See also John 14:30 and 16:11. He was trying to bring Christ under his rule -- "worship me."
But notice something else very carefully here. It is the key to the understanding of the method by which Satan, through the organized churches, is deceiving the world today -- a key to the Mystery of Iniquity which was already working in the Churches in Paul's time (II Thes. 2:7). In Matthew 4:6 Satan says to Christ, "If Thou be the Son of God, cast Thyself down: for it is written, He shall give His angels charge concerning thee." God promises to aid those who find themselves in hazardous circumstances not of their own making, but He does not say He will protect those who deliberately place themselves in such circumstances in order to convince others. But Christ replies in verse 7, "It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God."
Notice, Satan suggested an improper action for Christ -- an act of disobedience to God -- by twisting God's word to convince Christ it was the proper thing to do. Christ corrected him. Had Christ done as Satan suggested, He would have obeyed Satan -- been ruled by Satan. So also today, Satan retains rule over individuals by having his agents misinterpret the Bible and otherwise suggesting false methods of self-justification to the individual for his own evil acts.

God created the world and everything in it but when Adam and Eve sinned, sin entered the world. Thus that is how the world is the kingdom of the enemy, but the Kingdom of God is within us. The enemy was in the garden just as God, Adam and Eve were.
