I was watching Breakthrough with Rod Parsley because they were talking about the prophecies of the end so that I could figure out how long till I could go to his church and tell him he was wrong and make him admit he doesn't know what he is talking about.
But his boyfriend was on the show and was talking about one of the signs of the end being the shedding of innocent blood which he said meant abortion. So I have to ask there have been 100 of thousands of innocent people killed in the war in Iraq, the conflict between Israel and Lebanon, terrorists attacks, violence on the streets and so on yet the shedding of innocent blood is abortion so my question is why do Christians only seem to give a damn about fetus life but not about human beings that are born and walking around?

I am asking why the preacher says this and it seems to be true most pro-life people tend to be for the war.

Actually, we care about both. Check out the Vatican's stance on the war in Iraq. It hasn't had as much press as its stance on abortion.

Ever wonder why? I do.

Innocent blood is innocent blood.

It is because human ideation is about the realization of meaning, and meaning is got by acquiring more power (generally); Christianity is a vehicle (often) in which people try to increase their power and prestige. Christianity becomes political as it can be directed into the service of personal power. Even though Christ himself teaches against it, the power potential in judgmental attitudes is just too compelling; Christians as a group often like to judge others. Abortion is one of what I call "index finger" issues. These are issues where the population as a whole is deciding on something that will impact only a fraction of the population. Men will make judgments about abortion, while they will never be in a pregnant woman's position. The lure of the power (in judging) is just too great!
There is a philosophical problem in the idea of "innocence", but that must be saved for another time.

Some teachings state that we live many lives. And commit
grievous acts against others. Kill their loved ones in war, etc.
It is said that there are no innocents.
Though I believe sometimes there are. I accept that in most situations, these things have reasons. Losing a loved one because we took one from another. Tests to see how fast we will turn on God.
They say some spirits come into this world knowing they will die young, to make sure these things are accomplished.
It is supposed to teach us to get over the self-righteousness
and hypocrisy we all complain about, and then lay on others
ourselves. Nothing personal.

You are so misled. The killing of innocent is one of the 7 things God hates most. In America, abortion is the number 1 killer of life that started at conception.

Yes innocent people that walk the earth are being killed every day. If an innocent person dies because of the sins of another or environmental sins it is still one of the 7 things God hates most.

As a Christian, I believe God is the revenger. He is the righteous judge.

well, i am christian. and i care about innocent people dying for stupid reasons. I believe that the mother matters more than the unborn fetus. so she has the right to abort for whichever reason makes sense to her. Some Christians, those who believe they are beter than the rest, i am sad to admit so, are self centered and hypocrites and cowards. they give importance to things that have none. and they are afraid to go against the will of the super powers in order to stand for what is right and fair. so much easier to excommuniate doctors practicing abortion on an 11-year-old girl who's been raped by her step dad in Bogota than excommuniating those who were trying to justify the war in Lebanon.

You're biggest mess up here is in thinking that we only care about fetus life. I don't know where you got that idea, but its probably from watching those silly televangelist shows, which is your 2nd mess up. I tried watching one of those once, but thought it was a joke. Could a real pastor get on tv and beg for money from poor people before he goes home to his mansion every night? Nope, I have no trust in those con men. I suggest changing the channel.

Get you facts from the bible, not some whacko that doesn't know beans from ants. Innocent blood is speaking of Jesus who shed His blood for sinners. He was guilty of nothing but was crucified for sinners, thus, innocent blood. We deserve to die as we have sinned, most daily. But Jesus never sinned.
