I pray for this, I hope for this, but sometimes I wonder if we all are in agreement with it. Do you think that ALL of us Christians may one day accept that we are Brothers and Sisters in Christ, regardless of our denominations or do you think that will only occur when Christ returns?
Peace Be With You,
Debra

Creationists declare themselves unable to believe that even the most simple, mindless microbe could exist unless it was designed... But in the same breath they're happy to claim that an intelligent entity capable of designing and creating an entire universe just exists without being designed. How absurd!

My dad said that at around 3 in the morning he heard someone walking up and down the stairs. Our dog started barking and apparently that person went away. My dad didn't do anything because he thought it was me. But it wasn't. I can think of three explanations;

1. Someone broke in
2. Someone in our family was sleep walking
3. Twas Jesus

But the weird thing is though, there's no sign of anyone breaking in. No broken windows/locks. Either way, I'm not going to sleep tonight, just in case the culprit comes back.

What do you guys think? I always thought that this board was kind of crazy (no offense >_>), but this is really weird.

If Jesus does exist, is it possible that he's hiding in my house?

About 2 hours ago I got a phone call from two of my friends. Anyway they where clamming they just seen God. Although they where smoking pot at the time “I do, but they do.” they said that God appeared in the room they where in, and looked like a green grid that was 6 lines by 6 lines with a glowing orb moving along the grid that talked to them telepathically. What God said was just the numbers 6, 2, and 0 over and over again. This is a picture they made of God.

As a Christian, I recognize homosexuality for what it is. It is a sin, and sin leads to spiritual death and to Hell, regardless of whatever fairytales homosexuals and their supporters might dream up about Heaven being a place where immorality is acceptible. So what part of that makes me or anyone else a homophobe? If you want to convinve me that I am in fact afraid of homosexuals, which I'm not, you might want to first start out with your own subconscious fears of where it is that you're going once you leave this earth.

BTW, I'm an atheist and not looking for a sermon, just Agree or Disagree, with a brief explanation if you like. Thank you.

I asked a question last night about the Mormon Church and possible unity. I got alot of great answers and insight..even from some Mormons.
I am a main-line Christian (Protestant) BTW. It's a weird feeling to know that the Mormon Church shares so much with us yet we view each other as false religion. To me it's like seeing a relative from a distance but we can't come together because of this great wall of glass that divides us. We can't accept the book of Mormon and they won't live without it...I guess it just seem sad to me. I really hope and pray that grace is extended deeper than we know...I know that I will require it. I have no problem accepting Catholics as my brothers and sister...we have differences but we share so much. Sometimes I think that on judgement day God will point out that I was wrong on 239 issues (biblically)...maybe another will be wrong on 229 issues...am I better?? I know over the years I've changed my mind on several issues..I'm not so arrouganrt to think I've

Statistics on Alcohol among Teens
-More than 40% of teens who admitted drinking said they drink when they are upset; 31% said they drink alone; 25% said they drink when they are bored; and 25% said they drink to "get high." (U.S. Surgeon General, 1991)
-Approximately 240,000 to 360,000 of the nation's 12 million current undergraduates will ultimately die from alcohol-related causes--more than the number that will get MAs and PhDs combined. (Eigen, 1991 in the 1998 National Household Survey on Drug Abuse)
-Sixty percent of college women diagnosed with a sexually transmitted disease were drunk at the time of infection. (Advocacy Institute, 1992)
-Eight young people a day die in alcohol-related crashes. (CSAP, 1996) (Mothers Against Drunk Driving website)
THIS SHOULD NOT BE TRUE, THIS IS WHY THE PERCENT OF OUR GENERATION THAT ARE GOING TO BE EVANGELICAL CHRISTIANS IS ONLY 4%, WE NEED TO CHANGE THIS, PRAY ABOUT THESE THINGS TIME IN AND TIME OUT!

My friend once told me to never place anything on top of my Bible otherwise, you'd be saying whatever's on top of it was more important.
Ever heard this?
