As reform and reconstructionist Judaism grow in popularity so is the number of people who just have one jewish parent that consider themselves Jewish. Since I think we need all the jews we can get, I think we should change the rules.

Also, many peopel believe the matenal descent thing was just because it is alot easier to determine who somone's mother is than there father. But today, with DNA testing this is not a problem.

If you could know in advance exactly when you were going to die, would you want to know? If not, why not? If so, what would you do with that information? (Note: this is not a question about whether it's possible to know or not, just pretend it is possible and it's an option for everyone.)

I really liked the idea that public schools should require one "World's Religions" class. This would be offensive to some but no more offensive than "Greek Mythology" being taught to people like me who couldn't care less.

Do you think there is diffrent people on Earth beside us? But they look very diffrent?

and here (according to responses to my previous question)
1 Corithians 15:42-58, Matthew 24:35-41, Isaiah 26:19-21, Luke 21:34-36. My question...
Will Christ "sneak" back to earth to secretly "rapture" His saints away to heaven, or will He return at the end of the most awesome, earth-shaking events in history—events that are felt and seen by everyone?

God is a title, not a name. Why worship a title?

Karma. “What you do is what you get”

Our daily actions hurt others no matter what; thereby every person needs to do a process of purgation. It’s a Vedic ritual. As he was unaware of it, he could never assimilate the essence of non violence in his life, which encumbered his mind regarding the sins he kept committed unwittingly. This led to his untimely sad demise.

Non Violence extends from physical to mental realms. Sadly he never cared to understand the existing “Vedic Purgation techniques”.

First of all, you can prove the existence of something. However, you can prove the non-existence of god. It is a basic law of physics and science. Remember science class?

You form a hypothesis right? God exists

You gather facts, information, and test right? God has properties, omnipotent, omniscient, Omni benevolent. The subject should not have any conflicting properties.

If the hypothesis in question doesn't add up right, or doesn't work out even once you disregard it. God has conflicting properties that does not add up or make logical sense. His existence with his properties is a logical impossibility.

You cannot test faith because it is not based on reason or fact nor based on logic. Now in a illogical world, this god may exist. However, do not claim that your belief is based on logic because it isn’t.

Now on the existence of an undefined god, you cannot disprove or prove it can you? That is why I am agnostic. Too many atheists are just as blind as Christians.

Why? Well, it has all the attributes of the other major world faiths - omniscient all-powerful creating deity, mystic rituals and sayings, stories and commandments ("I'd-really-rather-you-didn'ts", actually, but it comes to the same thing) and in essence is exactly as valid as any other major religion. It has thousands of followers.

The one thing it doesn't have? Schisms or factionalism. Its members haven't fallen out or disagreed about fine detail, they haven't nailed any statements to any doors, they haven't set up breakaway movements, they don't snipe at each about slight disagreements in doctrine, they don't use violence against one another. This suggests that Pastafarianism is the One True Religion the world has been waiting for. Its members are in perfect agreement. Can anyone disagree with this view? How is a religion that bickers and fights and breaks into sub-sects and starts wars better than one whose members exist in such harmony?
