If you could know in advance exactly when you were going to die, would you want to know? If not, why not? If so, what would you do with that information? (Note: this is not a question about whether it's possible to know or not, just pretend it is possible and it's an option for everyone.)

No, I would not want to know. There is a reason that we don't know. I don't really think that anyone could live a productive life if we knew when we were going to die. Humans, no matter how evolved they claim to be, can not deal with their own mortality. Also I think that it would have the opposite affect in that people would not have any sense of community responsibility, no hope, no sense of a reason to live. Why would you have children if you knew in advance that one or all of them might die before you do. I would not want to know when my or any of my family members death's were going to occur.

I really can't say because I don't know how I would feel if I knew. But, I do know this. It is appointed for everyone to die the physical death. That is one of the reasons that I have accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior so that I can know that I have eternal life with Him. So, I am not afraid of dieing the physical death.

If I am spiritually strong enough, unmoved by emotional fear and focused on the Truth of eternal spiritual self why not? It would be a welcoming experience as the death of the physical body is the awakening of the spirit.

Sadly to say, I am still weak and couldn't face the spectacle of my own demise.

Would you pray for me then?
