He is neither. He was a man who lived 2000 years ago. He was preacher of Judaic faith. He is as much the son of G-d as you and I are G-d's sons and daughters.

The best I can do is an analogy from set theory and infinite sets.
Consider the Christian claims of God for a moment. Christians claim that God is omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, omni benevolent, and eternal. These characteristics often create problems in formal logic because they seem inconsistent with one another. In this case we are dealing with an infinite God and a finite man.
In set theory, infinite sets have interesting properties, two of note: (∞ = infinity)
1. ∞ + ∞ = ∞
2. ∞ + x = ∞
Take into consideration the first one. The first one says that infinity + infinity = infinity. Extrapolate, then you'd get :
1. ∞ + ∞ = a
2. a + ∞ = ∞
3. (∞ + ∞) + ∞ = ∞
4. ∞ + ∞ + ∞ = ∞
5. ∞
This is about the best I can do for the Trinity.
Consider the second property. If God is infinite (∞) and man is finite (x) then you'd get something like that property. God is still God, and can somehow be man at the same time.
I don't claim to comprehend this fully, but I can't claim to comprehend infinity either. Rather, I can claim to apprehend this. Apprehension is understanding the premises without being able to give full explanation of the conclusions. Every time infinity is involved, I run into this problem. Finite minds cannot understand those things which are infinite.
So to answer you question, Jesus is both. He is God's son, and he is God.

He is both. Just because we mere humans don't completely grasp the concept of the Trinity doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Jesus is the second Person of the Trinity--God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit isn't any less God and neither is the Son.
Jesus, Himself, claimed to be God during His time on earth. He said, "I and the Father are one," and when the religious leaders accused Him of working on the sabath, He proclaimed, "Before Abraham was, I AM!"
Anytime the phrase "I AM" is used in this way, with all capitals, it is referring to Jehovah God, the God whose name the Jews weren't even allowed to say. Jesus was saying that He was one and the same as the Jewish God.
Christians believe that Jesus, the second Person of the Trinity, was fully God who became fully man, who lived a sinless life and chose to die, sacrificing His life for mankind, separated from God by sin. Those who place their trust in Him as their sin-bearer will be reconciled with God.
Unfortunately, you probably will get a wide variety of opinions on this, but that doesn't have any bearing on your need for a Savior.

God's son - although there is conflicting information, even in the Bible that makes it sound otherwise like :
In the beginning was Jesus (a.k.a. The Word), and Jesus was with God, and Jesus was God. Jesus was with God in the beginning. (John 1:1-2)
Actual definition in dictionary:
Jesus:
A teacher and prophet whose life and teachings form the basis of Christianity. Christians believe Jesus to be Son of God and the Christ

Jesus is the son of God and is in subjection to his Father.
Unfortunately, because Emperor Constantine of fourth century Rome decided that God should have three faces he created the Trinity which he adopted from several pagan religions and forced it onto all the people under his rulership. It continues to this day.

What's the point in attacking other people's beliefs? If you are genuinly intrested in someone's beliefs, figure it out. Jesus is the son of God AND Jesus is god.
No wonder teachers in school are starting to teach Christian Apologetics

Jesus Christ is the son of God. If you read the holy scriptures, you will see He constantly calls Him Father. But He constantly does His Father's will. So Christ and God work the same way. hope this helps
