Your right, God is a title that has many qualities and personality traits written below. I say I'm an atheist because I don't believe in GOD. I never said there isn't a super natural being somewhere. God is what humans have created so that they can explain and understand the concepts of the universe which we do not in total. People worship God because he is worship able. He has demands, orders, laws, and even sons. He is almost like an average human being accept more of a tolatarian leader, or maybe a charismatic leader, Hitler comes to mind when I think of God... Maybe his name should be Adolf. He did destoy Israel in the old testament.

I don't think anybody is really worshipping the title, but as human beings they need to be able to label something to define it and to be able to think about it.

Really the Christian idea of God embodies a thing that is so complex that most people probably couldn't understand it. I think giving it a name just makes the idea more approachable; it's personification.

What do you mean does any one not believe in GOD, is this your first trip to this site. A better question on this site is does anyone really believe in GOD?

And of course GOD is a name. Anything can be a name, and any spelling can be correct. Believe me I know, I have worked in labor and delivery and have seen the spelling and pronunciation of some of these poor kids names. They are no where near each other.

I worship neither titles nor names. I am an Atheist. I do not bow down to higher powers but respect the actions of those that have earned respect in this life and try to do the same, being beholden only to myself for my achievements and failures in this world.

"God" is largely misunderstood. God is actually a processor architecture--like Intel's x86, or Motorola's PowerPC--that just happens to be extremely fast and powerful. The majority of the computers on the higher astral planes use the God processor architecture.

Those that actually use thier mind to think rather than parrot repeatedly refuted apologetics will have a tendency to NOT believe.

There is an inverse correllation between education and religious belief, the more educated one gets the less likely they are to believe in fatasies of a magical sky daddy.

I don't believe in any gods, though I was under the impression that God (with a capital 'G') is the name for a specific god, the god of the bible.

You're right. There are many "gods". I think it's sad that almost without exception when someone says the word "god" they're referring to the biblical Yahweh, which was *so obviously* a deity designed by man.

I think God is yourself. In a word, if there was a God then why all the conflict in the world? God must enjoy playing with his big xbox in the sky
