As a Christian, I recognize homosexuality for what it is. It is a sin, and sin leads to spiritual death and to Hell, regardless of whatever fairytales homosexuals and their supporters might dream up about Heaven being a place where immorality is acceptible. So what part of that makes me or anyone else a homophobe? If you want to convinve me that I am in fact afraid of homosexuals, which I'm not, you might want to first start out with your own subconscious fears of where it is that you're going once you leave this earth.

Hate to break it to you, I'm not self-righteous. Politically incorecct? probably.
Self-righteous? Not a chance. If people want to spend their lives in Hell fine. But I'm not going to let them go without a warning. It's not about who I like or don't like. I wouldn't wish Hell on my worst enemy, both because of the severity of torture and the aspect that it is eternal. So if y'all are ever jaywalking and I see a car speeding towards you I guess I better just watch you die instead of trying to warn you because that's the kind of mentality you're showing me by saying I have no right to say who will and won't be facing God's judgement. It says right in the Bible, so you don't even have to take my word for it. I'm not trying to condemn anybody, I'm trying to give you enough of a forewarning so that you have time to do something about it, whether you choose to or not.

Lily, how about you keep reading that bible of "mine" and flip on down to Revelation 3:14-21 and give that a read. By the way, those words printed in that book were intended for EVERYONE on this earth to live by, not just the ones who have resolved themselves to.

Actually, you're obviously NOT a Christian. Christ taught to love all others, and not to judge. Since you are doing the opposite, I guess that makes you "anti-Christ".
At least you're not alone--many self-righteous so-called "Christians" are in for a rude awakening come Judgement Day!

You have the right to your opinions based on your beliefs but when people over step the mark and discriminate based on sexual preference that is when they are being homophobic. You may see homosexuality as a sin, I dont, but would you treat me differently if I was?

It literally means fear of homosexuals. However, it has come to mean anyone anti-homosexual. If it is a sin, don't do it and you won't have to worry. If abortion is a sin, don't have one. If stealing is a sin don't do it. I don't see you people protesting Halliburton for stealing and over charging the government when soldiers don't have proper armour. I don't see you people protesting death sentences, when your bible says "Vengence is mine' saith the Lord". I don't see you people helping poor children get an education. You people are hypocrites, "Woe unto thee scribes and Pharisees, HYPOCRITES".

I don't call people homophobes.. if they are worried about others calling them that then they should look at why that is. My best friend from college is gay and I don't see it as a sin.. I see it as an intrinsic part of who he is.

It is not my job to convince you or anyone else of anything. Believe what you will, however I myself don't agree with your assessment.

Your whole attitude is the exact reason for the title of homophobes being used so often. By calling a group immoral sinners you are demonstrating your total intolerance for them which is - yes you have got it - homophobia.

might be cause they don't want you to think of them as being responsible for spreading aids.. or that some feel the need to say look at me cause i am special by having a pride parade... maybe if we the straight folks had a pride parade we could look as ridiculous as them prancing around with our private parts hanging out.... Really do they need a pride parade?
