I spoke with other tongues (still do when I pray, not everytime of course). I spent a long period of time praying in the spirit, and GOD came into the room in a way that I had never experienced. I felt the weight of His presence pressing me into the chair I was sitting in, and I didn't want to move. He kept filling the room until I was overwhelmed, and I had to back up a bit. After that, I was a very different person. My priorities in life changed completely. I lived to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit and to accomplish His will. In the years since that time, I have had many other very powerful experiences in His presence, the half of which I have never told.

What happened for me was that scripture started to really make sense. I could finally start to understand what God was saying as I could see it in context.
I also started to feel that the Holy Spirit was guiding me on certain issues. For instance, yesterday, I went to the local store and found shoes on sale. I could have bought 2 pairs of dress shoes for $30. I felt that God was telling me to put them back. I left my town and went to the larger city to shop (about 30 minutes away) and found a shoe store that was closing and each pair was $7 to $10 a pair and I had no idea at the time that shoe store was going out of business or would have shoes on clearance. So, God works in my life in a very practical way sometimes.

I did my baptist recently and really i asked to received the holy spirit.
I think that he will came to us but slowly, our perception of the life will change after the baptist,if really we did it with all our heart, because now (after the baptist) we accepted trough Jesus that we will walk trough our hearts, and not more trough our eyes and fellings and fantasies.
The holy spirit will address you in your decisions because now you have an open heart and then will be posible to penetrate in you.
Sorry for my english i am trying to do my best.

One theory is that everyone and everything automatically has the holy spirit in them - it's your birthright.

I just felt a "hand" on my face and a tingling sensation all over. I also cried uncontrollably even though I felt joyful.
