I don't know about these "unbelievable joy" answers I'm reading, but I do believe in hell and if we care anything at all about fellow humans we'd want to share with them the truth so they would avoid hell. http://www.wayofthemaster.com <-- great evangelism site

We were to spread the word, and quite frankly, that's about done. Do you know anyone who hasn't heard? I don't. I don't run around witnessing, never have, never will. At the time the bible was written, christianity was new and few had heard of Him. Now, everyone's basically heard it. Everyone has different gifts, some are good at witnessing, some, like me, not so much. Doesn't mean we don't have the spirit, just means its different for some. Being an example by how you live your life, your compassion to others, that's how you can be a witness without going around trying to convert people. If people ask me, I'll tell them, otherwise, nope.

To be a witness is to live a life of example for others to see. You are like the Temple of the Old Testament where every people is drawn to it. You don't have to go to them.
Also, a true born-again experience has got more to do with your life-style (changed for the better) and your relationship with God (striving to conform into His image).
Your life-style as a born-again is the best witnessing tool ever.

No one in this material world is Born Again, as far as what
Jesus Christ taught. That is just another one of mans
interpretations.
Read the whole thing. Jesus said, " When you are born of the flesh. You are flesh. And when you are born of the Spirit. You
are spirit. Just like the wind blows, and you can hear it, but not
see it. And it goes wherever it wants to go."
A spiritual transformation is not a psychological change, or
just being in the mood. It is accepting the reality of the spirit that is within us all.

That is a tough question, however, I feel when one has been saved he usually is so happy that he wants to share it with others. It is also a command that we take the gospel to the whole world. When one doesn't show any interest in lost souls, it is hard to believe that they have indeed been born again. Only the Lord knows but ......There is definitely a place for the silent witness however there comes a time with you have to stand up and speak. Jesus said "believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord". Isn't it funny that when we learn to love baseball, football or anything else, we want to talk about it all the time with our friends but when we find the God of all Creation who gives us eternal life, we want to keep our mouths shut. Hmmmmm. Questionable.

Witnessing to others is the hardest thing for a christian to do, but it is necessary to spread the word with your mouth as well as your actions. I wouldn't say that one wasn't born again if they don't witness, but Jesus said that you are either for Him or against Him-there is no middle of the road, and that means professing Him to others.

being a witness does not always mean that you go and talk to people.
you can be a witness in your lifestyle.
abraham witenessed with his lifestyle more than anything.
his name ment father of many nations yet he never had a son till he was old 80's or 90's also when he did make it to the promise land he never settle in one place he continued to move all over as a sojourn which was a witness that he was a stranger in this land and his home is somewhere else ( heaven ) .

no
as in the example of Jesus and his disciples, first Jesus devoted 3.5 years teaching his followers how to teach, and the reason why they are to preach.
The main reason ? God wants none to be destroyed but all to attain to repentance.
The motive for preaching is the love of neighbor. Obviously if there was no one going forth and actively seeking out those who are lowly of heart and distressed about all the suffering in the world, many people would never realize that God has a wonderful plan to rectify everything.
There is not one baby, child or adult that lives or dies that will not be given the opportunity to respond to the Good News.
For those that die before hearing the truth? The 1st ressurection will raise them up so that they can hear and decide wether they want to put faith in God.

No, there are different ways to be a witness. The way you live, talk, walk are all ways of being a good witness. When you don't join in idol gossip, you are being a good witness. You don't have to run over to everyone you see and witness to them but you should pray for your friends, family, and co-workers to come and know Christ.

Witnessing does not mean you walk around with a bible, preach to people, scare or annoy them into believing or get on people's nerves discussing bible verses.
I call that approach--'Anti-Witnessing'
People are not going to flock to God because of you. I personally believe that we are to be used in a manner God wants--not by some church's ideas of what witnessing should be.
The most effective way to witness is to live your life in a manner most pleasing to God.
Remember, you are the 'face' of Christ for people who do not know Him. If people notice your inner peace or something unique about you--then use that time to share your faith. Practice the 'fruits of the spirit'. Be the voice of love, reason, peace etc and trust me, people will be drawn by the 'light' that shines in you.
I never understood why we consider witnessing walking around with a bible and talking to people. That approach makes most people want to go away from you.
Getting to know people, and letting 'your light shine' is the best way to share the gospel.
Live the gospel! Don't shove it down people's throats!

I knew someone that I liked a lot and respected a lot and found out later he is a hard core Christian. And I gotta tell ya --he did more for me in his actions than anyone has ever done by their witnessing to me in conversation.
So my thought is this --maybe it's about speaking when the feeling comes and when it comes that's the right person to say it to. . .
