If a law is passed that children cannot be introduced to any religion and that they are free to choose any religion –if they want to- only when they reach eighteen, would the world become godless? If not, what would be the major religion?

I'm born again and I believe in God and God's word. What makes some of you southern religious people better than others just because you don't drink wine in moderation or smoke tobacco in moderation? It's absolutely fine if you don't but it's when you become very unaccepting to others that do it. God loves us all. We are not saved by works but the way we believe. So, some of you southern religious people can go load up on the pop and cake and be in a bad mood most of the time. And also make yourself look better for putting down what other people do that is not against the word of God.

Isn't that why they feel threatened by an opposing viewpoint?
Point the self-righteous finger of condemnation at others? And deny the realities of their own beliefs?
Christ is not a person or a religion. It is the unifying of our
Creators own body. Our spirits being a spark of the LIGHT that
GOD/ALLAH/THE GREAT SPIRIT is.
"As the body has many members. And all those members are
one body. So is CHRIST."
No matter who you are. Black, white, red, yellow, or brown. You
have a spirit within. A beautiful being of LIGHT and LOVE. And we
are all Gods children.

KEEP THE PEACE/GANG FOR GOD

Over the past few days my husband, Buddy, took care of a 41 year-old African-American man in the hospital who is in the last stages of AIDS. The man had severe waisting syndrome and was so sick that he refused to take any more meds as they would cause horrid vomiting.

Nobody really wanted to care for this patient as he had been kind of mean, but Buddy seemed to hit it off with him....Before long this man was smiling and telling Buddy his favorite things to do, one of which was to get high and watch Batman....The other was to smoke Kool cigarettes...He just loved those menthol cigarettes.

Buddy felt like he wanted to do something nice for the man, but being that my son was out of weed, Buddy could not get him a joint...The next day Buddy showed up to work with not 1, but 2 packs of Kool cigarettes.

During his shift, Buddy took the time to take the man out in a wheelchair and let him enjoy the gift...The man was in heaven :)

If Christ was like Buddy would you like him?

has anyone heard of clapping in each corner of each room of your house to the saint you want in specific to get your wishes? My mom did it and said it worked 3 times just curious if anyone has heard of or had experience with this.

I am doing a research paper for U.S history class. I chose the salem witch trial with two other friends. As we were flipping through our textbooks I saw an article about witchcraft and religions related to it (wicca, etc.) interested I read what they had to say and was astonished to find out that the school considered Witchcraft (and wicca) to be a satanic religion that calls upon the devil using human sacrafice!!! As a wiccan and a Witch i found this highly offensive! Other books say similar things in our school library! Is there any way I can convince the school or textbook company to change their minds? I was getting ready to come "out of the broom closet" too! What can i do now? I don't want to keep my religion a secret for fear of discrimination! But i don't want to be called a satanist!

I mean: there are some so-called smart persons who try to mix science with religion, trying to sound smart, and so on.

Are they so smart? Do they feel like understanding what everybody "cannot"?

I wouldn't like my kids to listen to such persons.

Since Christians have said that the word God on the dollar bill isn't about religion, then certainly it would be ok to put In the Flying Spaghetti Monster we trust, since it wouldn't be a religious statement to put that either, right?

Also, in the pledge, since God isn't there as a religious establishment, neither would having it say "One nation, under His Noodly Appendage".

Your thoughts, and please remember, saying No it has to be God, isn't that "religious",

it might not be a seperation of church state issue, clearly not a violation of the first amendment in my view, so neither would replacing God with FSM, right?
