This is the day the Lord has made; Let us Rejoice and be Glad in it.
I like this verse because it reminds me to rejoice in each day that God give me.

My favortie verse is Exodus 14:4 "The Lord will fight for you, you only need to be still"
This didn't change my life but it made me feel more brave than i was to be proud of being Christian knowing that God is right on my side even if people are trying to bring me down for not going to clubs or drinking and having sex all the time.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, to give you a hope and a future.
This is an excellent reminder of God's love for us. No matter how bad or good things get He is always there. Everything that happens to us or what we do is tied to His plan for us. It is a great source of motivation and hope.
As sinners, we are undeserving of this from God. But as a born-again Christian, these words have power and meaning. Sometimes you see it every day. Other times it is revealed in a whisper.

John 3:16 It says "For God loved the world so much that he gave his only begotten son", in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life.
Wow! This verse was one of the first I ever learned and even then it held power. I must of been 4 at the time. Today I,m older and realize just what that means. The creator of all and everything had only one begotten(born as we know it) son and he gave him to all of mankind in death in order for us to have a chance at everlasting life. Can you imagine giving one of your children up to death in order for someone else to live? This God -Johavah must really be a loving and giving God . That verse shows me a promise that I can If I choose have everlasting life after Armageddon. It also shows me how very loving Jehovah God is to make such a provition for us. Our choice to exercise faith in him could lead us to a life unlike anything we can imagine, one where there is no death or sickness ,no crime or hatred,no sin. A life of joy and happiness without any sin or negativeness. Jesus died and shed his blood so that anyone who wants to can be a part of this promise from our God Jehovah My life was changed by knowing that I too can be a part of gods people and share in this reward if I exercise faith in his name. Key word is exercise--to follow, to do, not just believe.

James 1:17
"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows."
No matter how corrupt the world is or how things may change, we do have a constant source that does not change and we can always rely on.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son.... This verse showed me that I am not alone in this world, that God loves me and his love transends Death. In fact, it shows life after Death. On the third day Christ arose, proving that God is greater than the temporary state of Death. Some would say that Jesus proved reincarnation. I say that Jesus loves me and you. Since Jesus is part of the Godhead, Father, Son and Holy Spirit and is indwells all believers and is a part of us, we are all part of God, who loves us. God Bless. "For now there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus." Romans 8:1 It is the great promise of blessed assurance. When Satan tries to tell me that I am not worth saving and that God wouldn't want a wretch like me, I recite this verse to bolster my spirit and put the devil to flight.

Romans 8: 38,39
For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,
nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
This tells us that no matter how bad you may think you are, you cannot fall from grace with the Lord. He is always there to forgive you and take you home.
It has helped me to love more, and be more forgiving. Our children are grown and have had their share of problems, usually from their own mistakes. We've always taken them back and tried to help them.... if the Father in heaven does that for us, how can we do less for our children?
