In this regard, I am a person of no faith. I demand to see and probe matters that are not tangible. Before I invest any amount of time believing in things that said to be real, I want proof! I do, however, have faith in people and their ability to do good. I seek the truth! There is no proof in Christianity! Let us stop the Crap and get on with the business of healthy caring for ourselves and the earth! No spirits here!

Religious leaders have consistently come out against medical advances. Hundreds of years ago, they were against autopsies and medical use of cadavers for research. In the 1800’s Christians fought the use of anesthetics on the ground that suffering is God’s will and therefore must be endured. This was particularly true for a woman’s pain during childbirth, because they could quote the Bible to support their position. Currently, some religious groups prohibit life-saving blood transfusions. Children die every year because their parents withhold medical treatment, trusting in God instead. Many religious leaders are preventing access to birth control, disease prevention, and information about sexuality. They act as though they would prefer to see people dying of disease or starvation, rather than allow the population to have forbidden products and information. Recently some have come out against very promising areas of medicine, such as fetal cell research, stem cell research, and therapeutic cloning. They have also convinced our government that these areas of research should be prohibited or severely limited. This has real implications for reducing the possible medical treatments available for each of us and for tens of millions of people in the U.S. who have spinal cord injuries and diseases such as Parkinson's. Not all religions want this research limited; but many do, and they fail the medical test.

Name your price, a ticket to paradise
I can’t stay here anymore,
and I’ve looked high and low
I’ve been from shore to shore to shore
If there’s a short cut, I’d have found it
But there is no easy way around it….

Light of the world shine on me –love is the answer
Shine on us all, set us free –love is the answer

Who knows why, someday we all must die
There are homeless boys and girls
And we are never heard
It’s such a lonely, lonely, lonely world
People turn their heads and walk on by
Tell, me is it worth just another try?

Light of the world shine on me –love is the answer
Shine on us all, set us free –love is the answer

Tell me, are we alive or just a dying planet?
What are the chances?
Ask the man in the word for the answer

And when you feel afraid—love one another
When you’ve lost your way –love one another
And when you’re all alone—love one another
And when you’re far from home—love one another
And when you’re down and out—love one another
We've got to love one another

When you're risking impotency by using a notebook on your lap thus overheating up the testicles, or by spending too much time in a bike saddle... Does that constute murder of innocent sperm cells, who like a foetus are a form of human life... And for that reason warrant the death penalty?

I have been hearing lately that there has ben proof of gods existence and large proof of an afterlife. I am a christian and i believe in God, Jesus and heaven. But a part of me looks at life atheistically. If you have any proof of god/heaven existing please tell me (DO NOT say things like the bible because i already know that is a proof of gods existence)

An atheist was walking through the woods one day in Alaska admiring all that evolution had created.

"What majestic trees !

What a powerful river !

What beautiful animals!" he said to himself.

As he walked alongside the river he heard a rustling in the bushes behind him. Turning to look, he saw a 13 foot Kodiak bear beginning to charge toward him. He ran as fast as he could down the path. He looked over his shoulder and saw that the bear was rapidly closing on him. Somehow he ran even faster, so scared that tears came to his eyes. He looked again and the bear was even closer. His heart pounding in his chest he tried to run even faster yet. But alas, he tripped and fell to the ground. As he rolled over to pick himself up he saw the bear reaching for him with his left paw and raising his right paw to deliver a killing blow.

"OH MY GOD !" he pleadingly screamed.

Time stopped.
The bear froze.
The forest was silent.
Even the powerful river stopped flowing.

A brilliant light shone upon the man and a thunderous voice came from all around,
"YOU DENY MY EXISTENCE FOR ALL THESE YEARS. YOU TEACH OTHERS THAT I DON'T EXIST. YOU EVEN CREDIT CREATION TO SOME COSMIC ACCIDENT. DO YOU EXPECT ME TO HELP YOU OUT OF THIS PREDICAMENT? AM I TO COUNT YOU AS A BELIEVER? "

Difficult as it was, the atheist looked directly into the light and said, "It would be hypocritical to ask to be a Christian after all these years and under these circumstances but perhaps you could make the bear a Christian? "

"VERY WELL" said the voice.

The light went out.
The river ran.
The sounds of the forest resumed.

The huge bear dropped down on his knees, brought both paws together, bowed and spoke............
"Lord, thank you for this food which I am about to receive."

That would be better since others wouldn't have the power to pass and enforce foolish laws that effect all of us such as no prayer in school, gay rights, and ban on corporal punishment. If I had it my way, I would bring whippings back into the justice system, and if anyone smart mouthed off to a cop, that person should be beaten with a night stick. We wouldn't see as many gangbangers, thugs, and pedophiles if corporal punishment were effective. Look how orderly Singapore is.

Ages ago in a R.E. lesson we were all discussing that priests aren't allowed to have sex before marriage, basically all the sins involving relationships and sex because it's a sin in gods eyes. Anyway we then went onto the subject that maybe this was why there's cases of choirboys etc.. getting molested by these priests because they were sexually frustrated and things like that. So, why do they feel that god thinks this is alright? If priests were true priests then they wouldn't do this. If priests are gonna sin and molest boys then why not go the full mile and just have it with a woman? Cos you're sinning anyway. Btw i'm not religious and not knocking it. Hope the Q's understandable...

If all frequencies can be percieved, imagines or meaured, wouldn't they created some sort of sound?

If you could choose one song to fit your life and personality and I had to find you after we both die, and the only way I could do this was imagining certain songs and the ones who loved them most, and that was my only source of connecting, what would you pick?

Deep stuff here, might sound like garbage to some but this is very meaningful for me.
I guess you could pick more than one. Also please answer the original question.

How many are there? Is God making more? Have any ever died? Where are the ones that dissented with Lucifer? Was there a war in Heaven? Did angels die then? What kind of fighting do angels do, and what does it matter if they don't die? Why would God allow a war in Heaven, and any angel rough-housing?

I was born into a catholic family raised morally right polite bible follower, and after a while i realized that god was a crutch. i only needed god when someone died and i couldn't accept that i'd never see them again, but i didn't really believe in god, because anytime i actually needed something, rather than just an imaginary friend, no matter how hard i tried and prayed i didn't get anything. and i also think its really wrong to believe in god just because its low risk (if there is god and you believe in him you go to heaven and if there isnt a god and you believe it doesnt matter you rot either way) so its low risk. i thin kthats a really bad reason to believe in God don't you? I can't take it on faith, because God never helped me anymore than what I can do for myself. So I think its all a crock and a money making scheme from churches, can a religious person help me out here? am i missing something? I went to church and read the bible for like 18 years. fact is i quit.

A Worthless Race

But you, draw near, you sons of a sorceress, adulterous, wanton race! Of whom do you make sport, at whom do you open wide your mouth, and put out your tongue? Are you not a rebellious children, a worthless race;" (Isaiah 57:3-4 NAB)

The Wicked Race

But judging them little by little thou gavest them a chance to repent, though thou wast not unaware that their origin was evil and their wickedness inborn, and that their way of thinking would never change. For they were an accursed race from the beginning, and it was not through fear of any one that thou didst leave them unpunished for their sins. (Wisdom 12:10-11 RSV)

Poverty is Evil

Wealth is good when there is no sin; but poverty is evil by the standards of the proud. (Sirach 13:23 NAB)
