I am a christian and I'm not gay. But yes I think they could be. God says to come to Him as we are and He will change us. Can an alcoholic be a christian? A smoker? A glutton? My uncle was saved & he was gay. Now years later he no longer lives that life style. God changed him in His time. We as christians need to be more loving and not turn people away who we think God may not love. He loves them just as much as He loves us. And their convictions will come to them through God not us!!

I have long hair and an earring & you wouldn't believe the looks & treatment I get from "Christians." They are the worse to judge though they always have bumper stickers that read: WWJD? Most conservatives are Christians and you rarely see them stray from the "norm" or "herd" when it comes to what is considered socially acceptable. Well, Jesus wouldn't judge whether a person has long hair, a different color skin than him OR sexuel preference. Good grief--Jesus is depicted in most churches as having long hair. Don't these goofs realize this? And no I am not a liberal NOR a conservative---I am one of those hopelessly stuck in the middle somewhere but I love everyone. If these people can lay the claim on Christianity then why can't a gay person? Not one person in the world obeys ALL the CREEDS of Christianity ALL the time but its what's TRULY in the heart.

Yes, of course they are Christians, they are Gay Christians.
I kind of have a problem with that though. I personally do not think gays are sinners, my God could care less what you do in your bedroom.
But Christian teachings forbid homosexulity. They can spin it all they want, but they forbid it.
So how can Gays associate with a religion that forbids their behavior? They are kidding themselves and are hypocrites in my opionion.
Gays should start their own religion. I know some Christian churches now say gayness is ok, so they are rewriting their churches rules to adapt to a recent phenenomon of gay tolerance.
I personally think both are wrong here. I also understand that people feel the Catholic church and other churches are intolerent. But aren't they doing the right thing by following their churches rules?
If people aren't happy with a religion's rules, start your own thing, and stop being a pretender and a hypocrite!

The label "Christian" has very little meaning these days. Anyone can say they are a Christian. Someone else might assess that you are or are not a Christian. You can find someone who will tell you what you want to hear.

The real question is are, self-proclaimed Christians that behave this way, saved?

The Bible is clear that they are not. All sinners need to repent.

Saved people have a renewing of their mind. It's a spiritual circumcision, that produces the fruit of righteousness.

God Bless,

Robert

I have a question for all of you saying no: Are you actually saying that sinners cannot be Christians? We have all sinned, and we all continue to sin, none of us deserve the salvation that is the gift of God's grace. All Christians are still willful sinners, whether we are gay or not. So, I believe either we have to acknowledge that homosexuals can be Christians, or we have to acknowedge that none of us can.

I prefer to leave judgment to God.
I would advise someone who is gay and wants to be a Christian to confess his sin, and ask Jesus to help him or her to help them to get the sin out of their lives. I would expect them to have enough respect for God and for their fellow Christians not to parade their gayness in church, but other than that, it is strictly between the person and his God.

Why are so many christians so judgemental? My King James version says, Judge not lest ye be judged.
It just amazes me. Jesus never turned his back on ANYONE. But so many people who claim to be christians will turn their back on people for so many reasons.
