There are special because its been blessed over with the essence of holiness. A cup of blessed water, for example, is energized with goodness and purity through vibrational waves that could change the molecular structures of water. Drinking such blessed water could said to cure sickness. That is the holiness in water that makes it special from other daily tap water.

In the Catholic church, this is water prayed over, and therefore blessed, by the priest before baptisms. The congregation uses this blessed, or "holy" water, as a reminder of their own baptism, when entering the church. The self-blessing is included in a simple prayer ("In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen), said with motions in the shape of a cross. Pure reverence toward a Holy God. Good stuff.

It's water that have been anoited and prayed over by a preacher and it is used against wickedness in high places. It can be also used when praying over a new house that you might be living in. Unless you are athiest there would be no need for holy water because I know whose side they are on.

Holy Water is a sacramental.

Sacramentals are sacred signs that help us live holy lives. Although they do not produce sanctifying grace.

Sacramentals include blessings of persons, meals, objects (including water), and places.

The priest blesses the congregation during Mass.

Christians bless their meals. "Bless us O Lord and these thy gifts, ..."

Priests bless water, animals, ships, homes, and even automobiles. "God bless this home and all those who enter here."

With love in Christ.

Holy water has salt in it. Salt is a form of crystal, and crystals
amplify spiritual, (invisible) power. Crystals were used to trap
radio waves to convert to sound in radios.
Don't be simple!

It is supposed to be from the Jordan River in the Holy Land. The priest blesses it, and it's supposed to bring you blessings from God.

The Priest does NOT pee in it, at least the good ones don't.

It's pagan ritual at it's most mysterious. Another liturgical idol to put ones faith in rather that God who promises to purify, protect, or whatever else they are trying to use it for.

So it SUPPOSED to be water. Nothing special.

It melts vampires.
To melt a witch, you just need regular water.
For werewolves, you need something silver, but they don't melt, unfortunately. They just die, and leave you with a messy body to explain.

Since Halloween is almost upon us, this could be very important information. I hope it helps!
