In the story of creation, what do you think was the first thing God said to Adam? What was the first thing Adam said to God?

2006-08-26 12:36:32 · 21 answers · asked by Anonymous

I'm trying to follow a pattern of logic here: okay, I'm God, I create Adam and Eve, my most wonderful creation, to keep me company because I'm lonely and I want someone to share eternity with. I already created some angels, but they got cocky, and one of them got ESPECIALLY cocky, and I named him Satan, or the Devil. (I'm PERFECT, but I guess I screwed up, what can I say?!). I love Adam and Eve unconditionally, but I kicked them out of my lovely garden because they were tempted by Satan to eat some fruit that I forbid them to eat! I KNOW that they're not perfect, just like I knew the ANGELS weren't perfect, but I'm punishing them anyway! After all, I'm God, what're ya' gonna do?! But I'm STILL all loving, so I'm gonna send some of Adam and Eve's descendants to hell (a home for Satan--wow, aren't I generous to my enemy? It IS fire, but at least it's home!) for not following some rules that I wasn't very clear about anyway!! Are you getting this people? Good, cuz I don't!!

Come on Christians, be honest.
To atheists: the answer might surprise you. I think they hate a promiscuous woman more than they hate an abortionist.
oh, and anyone who tries to say that promiscuous sex and abortion are the same, just save it.

from your sins, right? Well, who created sins in the first place? according to you, god did, but then he sent jesus to save you from sins. So my question to you is: Isn't that like pushing somebody, but then catching them and saying "I saved your life" because you wouldn't have needed "saving" if god hadn't created sin?

Would a Christian kindly explain why some of their number are so intolerant towards others? I'm a Buddhist and though my religion is inherently one based in compassion I have many time been berated for worshipping "false idols". By the way I'm a Theravata Buddhist, meaning that their are now deities in my religious branch and that I follow a solitary path of self-betterment. I understand that Jesus of Nazareth promoted forgiveness, compassion, and kindness, so why are some of his present day follows so hateful?

Can we create a place that doesn't have so many fervent, hypocritical, hysterical, radical, extreme, bible bashing Christians for religious topics???? ALL non-bible bashers are welcome.

Human beings love to be physically and mentally healthy.

If someone is unwell and they take an Anti-Biotic medication designed to kill bacteria and help make them physically healthy again, and also take an Anti-Christ medication designed to kill religion and help make them mentally healthy again, would that not be the best treatment all round?

I just thought about this. Are we sure that there are not metro-sexual agnostic atheist insurgents sent to the Christians to overthrow us from within ??Just think of it.First, a hottie cutie metro-sexual atheist boy woos us chrisitian girls into his lecherous clutches. Then by his pampering himself all day as we wait for him to drop us off at church...hes in there, kissing himself in the mirror for hours and calling out, " Ill be right there ! ". He thinks there is no God so he must be God and he kisses and adores himself sooo long in the mirror that she misses church. The offerings then go down and the churches are all in bankruptcy . Then she becomes addicted to soaps from all that waiting and then shes all backslidden and stuff. I mean isnt that scary ????? Watch out girls for hottie metro atheists!! Are you dating one now ? Go in his bathroom and check..if theres a Darwin book on the toilet and lips marks all over the mirror...run!!! Do any of you need a place to hide out ?

Satan, and Angel, rebelled, thus demonstrating Angels have free will. They're in Heaven, they worship God (those who did not rebel), and God could make them by the bucket-full.

So why bother making humans when he could just whip up a bigger batch of Angels?

God deliberately created the universe
Perfection entails the lack of needs or wants
Being perfect, God does not now nor ever has nor ever will have any needs or wants.
Deliberate creation entails an effort to satisfy some need or want.
Being a creator, God at one time had some need or want. It is impossible to have some need or want and also to never have any need or want.
Conclusion: God, if it exists, is either not perfect or has not created anything.
If God is perfect, then God can’t have any needs or wants; hence, God wouldn’t bother

If God was all that existed back then, what disturbed the eternal equilibrium and compelled him to create? Was he bored? Was he lonely? God is supposed to be perfect. If something is perfect, it is complete--it needs nothing else. We humans engage in activities because we are pursuing that elusive perfection, because there is disequilibrium caused by a difference between what we are and what we want to be. If God is perfect, there can be no disequilibrium. There is nothing he needs, nothing he desires, and nothing he must or will do. A God who is perfect does nothing except exist. A perfect creator God is impossible

1) Why is it that you often cite that we don't have proof that there isn't a god? although the premise is true in a way, it is ultimately retarded. I can't prove there is a little 1 inch invisible midget that can't be detected by any technology in your stomach. It doesn't mean it is true at all. And also, since you say there is a god, the burden of proof is on you.

2) When asked to prove your religion true, why do you always try to debunk Evolution? That has nothing to do with it. Even if you debunk evolution, there is the possibility that there is another theory (without a god) that proves everything better. Before and during Darwin, there were other theories that were debunked such as spontanious generation, but we found another secular way to explain it.

by nature and manner of being she is a noxious whore; she is a prostitute, the Devil's appointed whore; whore eaten by scab and leprosy who ought to be trodden under foot and destroyed, she and her wisdom ... Throw dung in her face to make her ugly. She is and she ought to be drowned in baptism... She would deserve, the wretch, to be banished to the filthiest place in the house, to the closets."

Out of curiosity I would like to know if Jehovah's witnesses are more liberal or conservative based on their religion. For instance many evangelical christians are republicans. Is there a voting preference within the Jehovah's witness communtiy.
