Satan, and Angel, rebelled, thus demonstrating Angels have free will. They're in Heaven, they worship God (those who did not rebel), and God could make them by the bucket-full.
So why bother making humans when he could just whip up a bigger batch of Angels?

Valentino: I have great respect for those who are not Christian who venture onto this board and offer an answer in good faith. It takes courage and I admire those who have it. Thank you.

How much do you want to bet that all responses will be those who agree or unrelated scripture/thoughts from those who dont agree?
There is no biblical explanation...

God wanted to create someone in His image (Genesis 1:26). This indicates that the angels are somehow lacking something which God desired and instilled within men. I agree that angels have free will, so it must be something different. We know that men will judge angels (I Corinthians 6:3, only applies to Christians), so while angels are now above us in some regards, they will eventually be judged by us. Off the subject, sorry.
I think the answer lies in my first few lines; God created man in His image. He wanted a relationship of a kind and sort that angels could not provide.

My feeling on the subject of Angels is that while yes, God made Angels and Angels do have free wills, Angels are included in the Heavenly Host. They too, are divine beings. While they are not God, per say, they are residing in Heaven, with a host of Heavenly powers.
When God chose to make both Man and Woman, as well as having their own free will, Man and Woman do not reside in Heaven, nor do they possess any kind of Heavenly powers.
I won't call Man and Woman "lowly" beings, as we are not lowly, but neither are we on the same level with the Divine. I believe that we were all created, for a much higher purpose. We inhabit the Earth, which was (for lack of a better word/term) just an infant itself in the scheme of the creation of things. It is by our own choice and our own hand that we create a "Heaven on Earth" for ourselves. When we struggle and fall upon bad times, this is where our faith comes in - ergo: worship of God. God looks down upon us, sees our accomplishments thru our own doing and our own deeds and chooses to bestow upon us, His love.
While I really hesitate to write this, I'm still going to, in the hopes that you, the reader, will understand what I'm trying to convey. God needs us, just as much as we need God. In the order of things on Earth, and I believe in Heaven, a positive always needs a negative. There is always opposite of something (example: Man & Woman, Good & Evil, etc.) God needs us, and we turn need God, so we all fit into the order of things that make up the entire Divine Universe.
Have a lovely rest of the evening.

God created the human family out of Love and gave us a perfect start in life.1John 4:8.Everything God has done,is doing and yet will do for us is prompted by unselfish Love.He did not need to create anyone or anything. He was perfectly selfcontained. But,because He is Love he had great Joy and happiness in bringing forth creations of all kinds.Seen and unseen.

God wanted a companion in his own image to worship him with free will. You see angels are not created in Gods own image.Angels have wings. Some even have several faces, unlike human beings who were created to look like God.Anyway why does it matter? If you believe in God and heaven and hell then you have a decision to make.

satan is NOT an angel, he is a demon (djinn) and has free will and he chose to deviate humans from The Right Path and GOD gave him the permission to do so (as a test to us humans). satan is evil, and make NO Doubt abt it that he is our Biggest Open enemy. he is Not an enemy of GOD, he is an enemy to the whole of human kind, and he still acknowledges GOD's Powers.
angels did not rebel, they just had doubts abt humans
But this is an Islamic view, u probably are looking for a Christian view.
Peace to All.

That is a good point....I look at the Bible as a spiritual book that wisdom can be gleaned out of, kind of like the moral or the story...
When people try to insist on the actuality of it, it really does look foolish and I like the way that you guys point that out....

it looks like to make an example out of us to the angels, he pretty much let Satan have his way with us when we ate off the wrong tree. perhaps to show those angels that they are nothing compared to him?

I thought we were angels??? Why are you questioning us humans (non-angellic formations accordingly)? Shouldn't you be questioning God? OOPs. Don't think I would do that if I were you!
God's kinda like America, he gives us freedom & choices. It's up to us what we do with it.

Phrasing of your initial question is interesting. You do make a valid point.
In general anything (anyone) that demands/needs worship is weak, insecure and pathetic.
Same goes for those who need/want to be feared....LOSERS!
