An agnostic is simply an atheist...without conviction.

I went through the same stage myself. I came out as a christian. It can be a long process, but as the bible says, "Seek and ye shall find. Knock, and the door will be opened."

I suggest that you pray for God to reveal Himself to you. It will happen.

This mystical 'higher power' you talk about is your ignorance, the gap between how things are and your limited understanding of them.

If you believe in God or any other such nonsense it means you really don't have a clue about the world, the universe and the nature of life itself. You are living in a dream land, wilfully ignoring the far more interesting truths of the universe.

And no, God didn't set everything off with the big bang, stop being to stupid. Everytime science disproves some notion that religious people said God was responsible for, what do you think they do? Admit they were wrong? NO WAY! They simply rewrite everything and explain around the facts! There is NOTHING THAT COULD EVER be said that would disuade a believer and I am talking about 100% proof they were wrong. Just like the deluded conspiracy theorists.

To my knowledge, every culture, tribe, call it what you will, has created/worshipped a Deity. In the distant past they had no contact with each other, so how/why did this come about. When I consider the universe, apart from developing a headache, I marvel at it, and those arrogant scientists who, incidentaly, can't measure the area of a circle accurately (pi is an approximation), still think that they can explain and control it. HaHa.

Many people feel like you, I felt the same just as you described..Hoewever I felt really compelled to do something about how I felt and took it a step further..I was just like you were for a long time, asking myself questions, asking others questions, but never received answers to what I was looking for..After a very long time I finally embraced Islam and life for me is simple and peaceful..You seem to have good intentions, dont waste that, hope you are guided on the right path..also if just out of curiosity you want to read about Jesus from what the Quran says here is a website.http://www.al-sunnah.com/jesus.htm

Too bad. Satan has you exactly where he wants you.

It is plainly obvious there is a good force and evil force at work in this world.

You seem reasonable and able to understand only one book - the Bible is 1/3 accurate prophecy, written by 40 authors over 1600 years in different languages but it gels like it was written by one author. That is because it was. It was written by God.

Look deep inside yourself. Do you feel murder, adultry, and lying is wrong? How? That isn't from evolution - those are characteristics from a perfect God who desires more.

We sin and do bad things. We are unworthy of a perfect Creator. That Creator, sent a perfect Son to die a criminals death for us so we can be free of all our sins.

Take the time to research different faiths. You will see just how different faith in Jesus Christ (not religion) truly is.

If you knew what Heaven offered, you would gladly give up your place for them to enter into Heaven. But then if you knew what Heaven offered, you wouldn't be a non-believer.
God has promised the earth will never die, it will become new again, but never die.
Jesus was raised after three days, why else would the cowardly ( I would have run too, ) apostles turn around and then willingly die for Him?
Read the new Testament, you can honestly be a Christian and still respects others. I do.

I'm with you in everything you've just said except that I believe that Resurrection happen. I maintain my stand that Resurrection is the end game of reincarnation. I am not interested in any of the religious group but I do listen to their views because it helps to understand what makes them tick.

You are not alone. Maybe we belong to the minority but you are not alone.

You can help save the planet and go to heaven--nobody says you can't do both. It's good that you believe in a higher power (only the smart ones do). I think you need to do some more research before you decide what you do and do not believe in. God bless!

You are not alone-

13 "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
Matt 7:13-14 (NIV)
