on 8/8/06 I lost my bestfriend/brother. He went through some dark times in his short life, but managed to find God and straighten out his life. I have never been much of a believer as I had doubts about talking to someone that no one has proven to be real. But since the death of my brother my faith is ever strong in God. I want to believe that Keith is in heaven and can't if I don't believe in God myself. I have prayed to God every night since his death and have begun to continue reading the bible that I put down 2 years ago and quit. Do you think God cares what I have to say and pray about now that my brother is gone and I believe or is he's saying I'm sol for doubting him until my brother's death.

Okay, for the following linked question, many gave an explanation for snowflakes that goes like this:

God created nature/laws of nature/science,
Nature creates snowflakes.
Therefore, God created snowflakes.

What I'm wondering about is free-will and who creates evil. My explanation:
God creates free-will.
Free-will creates evil deeds and suffering.
Therefore, God creates evil deeds and suffering.

How does this logic work in the former, but not the latter?

Another example:
God created Lucifer.
Lucifer became Satan.
Therefore, God created Satan.

My good friend mr_spike43 got banned after giving a message from God on here... Should there be a little more sense of humour from yahoo?? The questions didnt even wind up the christian faction so why the persecution that followed... legitimate questions like "I am a clever monkey, dont you want to be like me"? and " do yahoo team take things too seriously"? were removed, and eventually the account was suspended....
Do you like to answer some of the oddball questions and such on here for a laugh or should it be all grown-up and sensible??

I saw a movie callled "school ties", about a jewish guy going to a christian school, and the christian students teased him and told him he killed Jesus, which they seemed upset about, I thought that is was the fait of Jesus to be crucified, so why were they angry, that's how I came up with the question.

The trend today in answers seems to be Christians asserting that they have 100% certainty that their God exists, because they have personally witnessed irrefutable evidence of it.

I have never personally witnessed any evidence of God, despite having been a practicing and believing Christian for over ten years. God must not want me to believe in Him, if He exists.

So please provide the proof you have observed, and if it's so 100% valid as you say it is, it must be independently verifiable (i.e. not just something that revelaed to you through your subjective feelings, which are subject to confirmation bias) and not subject to alternative non-supernatural explanations.

Do you believe, as I do, that the Flying Spaghetti Monster created the universe, and that it was from His mind that the nature was designed and through the use of His Noodly Appendages that the universe was created.

Do you further believe, that the Flying Spaghetti Monster, designs each and every snowflake to be unique, and through the use of His Noodly Appendages, he makes them?

I believe this on faith, I have no empirical evidence to back my faith. The scientific explanation does not satisfy me, the Flying Spaghetti Monster did it.

Would the bully have kids running home telling their parents how cool he was?

Would the bully have teachers telling the student that he was a great student?

Would they even call the kid a bully? If not, what would they call the kid?

Why does most of the Old Testament teach that there is no afterlife (see Ecclesiastes 9:5-6, for example), while later Old Testament writings and the New Testament do?

And don't tell me it's the "translation", and if it was how do you know it's the exact same Bible, Jesus brought, I mean just changing the order of one word can change the whole meaning, or even a letter!

According to the Word of God, He did. But i want to know your view on it.
I believe He literally became sin/sinner and went into hell.
This is how He destroyed sin...for all who come to Him, He will make them clean.
BTW, Yahoo deleted my other account...but that's okay...cuz all things work together for good, to them that Love the Lord...to them that are called according to His good will and purpose.
May God bless them.

And Bobby Brown and his posse came up to you yelling "Mr. Lama! Mr. Lama!", what would you do?

Did anyone else see the video of this?

I myself, would give up my peaceful ways and punch him right in his face for calling me Mr. Lama.
