My good friend mr_spike43 got banned after giving a message from God on here... Should there be a little more sense of humour from yahoo?? The questions didnt even wind up the christian faction so why the persecution that followed... legitimate questions like "I am a clever monkey, dont you want to be like me"? and " do yahoo team take things too seriously"? were removed, and eventually the account was suspended....
Do you like to answer some of the oddball questions and such on here for a laugh or should it be all grown-up and sensible??

I like the oddball q's. I like to (attempt to) come up with "witty" retorts. It breaks up the usually boring, serious q's. Don't get me wrong, I like serious questions, but not all of the time.

To be honest, that question is completely subjective. There are some cases where an odd or not-so-serious question can be taken, but there are also cases where the oddity or hilarity either simply do not belong to the specific topic, especially a sensitive one such as Religion & Spirituality, or are sources of hate and anger (especially those that try to pit one religion against another or those that taunt another group into provocation). If your friend asks the kind of questions you mentioned, though I am sure there are those more deserving of the penalties due, this is probably from a judgment call in the part of the owners of this service, which is Yahoo. And while we are here, we are expected to abide by the rules in the same way as when we enter another person's house.

there's no rhyme or reason as to why some questions get removed and some don't. therefore i think the reporting feature itself should be removed. it's a shame that some people can't take a joke, but with topics such as religion or politics, people are all fired up at what they read on a computer screen.

***Do they take it all too seriously?***

I don't know,did a search on mr_spike43 and
was able to find very little.

***My good friend mr_spike43 got banned after giving a message from God on here... ***

Maybe you were not able to show it was more
likely than not that the message was actually from God. Next time you think you get a message from God to deliver, ask for support or proof like Moses did.

Have a pleasant day anyway.

I got a perfectly sensible question on whether Jesus would have liked a certain food removed. Some people don't understand how this game is played..

And then you have the "What Should I Do Retard"...

I agree, there has to be more humour here! On my old account I did one saying "Hey, how are you? Have A Great Day and Enjoy these two points!" Someone reported me and my account was gone! :-{ I was only trying to be nice and give everyone 2 points!!! What's wrong in that???

You should probably stay away from bringing up Yahoo's name directly. They probably have alerts set up for that.

Yes, people should definitely have a better sense of humor on this site.

One time I got reported because I answered a question in "Royalty"--the question was something like "Who left the throne for the divorced woman?" My answer was: "What's wrong with divorced women?" ...and I got reported for this answer.

...give me a break!

Everyone needs to lighten up and laugh, have a good time debating each other, and respect each other! There are some people who take things too seriously in life, and I used to be one of them, it is a miserable existence!

I got reported for answers that the questioner did not like. It's all a part of the game I guess.
