At the core of it- similar cultures, similar beliefs- that have developed significant differences, but at the base of it, A single God, that expects or demands we live a life that has a positive impact on the world.

Bigots come in any color or religion, as does selfish interpretations designed to harm and make others suffer. Today's Terrorism was yesterdays Crusades. And tomorrow?

Islam/Muslim culture has traditionally been much more open to other religions than Christian, historically.

I consider myself a christian, by culture and belief, yet I find much to admire and respect in Muslim belief and culture.

So for me, alas, not too much debate, except in my continuing frustration and distress over both religions bigoted interpretations.

I see little difference between extremists, whether they be Americans or Muslim- that say "WE are right, so you Must be wrong!" As the starting and endpoint of their views.

Neither Jesus nor Mohamed seemed to say kill those who don't agree, either in reality or economically.

Dear Ali,

I doubt that a small space such as this is sufficient for such a debate - to do anything here, one would need to define one's question down to a much less general level.

What's to debate?

Christians believe what we believe, Muslims believe what they believe.

Christians (true Christians) know Muslims are wrong and Muslims think Christians are wrong.

It's not up to anyone to change minds but it is our responsibility to spread the words.

1Th 1:6And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:

1Th 1:7So that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia.

1Th 1:8For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing.

1Th 1:9For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;

1Th 1:10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, [even] Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

Like evolutionists, Christians and those who are in the know do NOT take no such chance ever.
