Example from an answer to my previous question:

"If they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" - from the Bibe

Jesus warned about people like you pal.
"Many false teacher shall arise and deceive many".--Jesus Christ
You are merely helping fulfill the Bible prophecies.

Why does fundamentalist Christianity create the division as follows amougst human beings on Earth:

If you speak Jesus is God - you are someone of truth. If you are speak that Jesus is not God - you are someone who is a liar.

Is this any different that when David Koresh told the branch dividians that he was God and all who spoke otherwise were liars? Is this any different than Jim Jones or Heaven's Gate?

While I believe people are all entitled to their beliefs, part of me believing in that entitlement is not calling someone else "false" or "liar".

Is fundamentalist Christianity behavior akin to cult behavior. Why or why not?

I dare you, no, no, I double dare you for one month believe in Jesus Christ and pray to Jesus as God. And at the end of the month come back and tell us if your life was better with Jesus or the way it was without Jesus?

Hebrews 11:6-But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is [God], and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Is it your religious beliefs, the law, or just your core values.

A co-worker found out I was an athiest and asked me, "what keeps you from just going out and killing everybody, if you don't believe in god"

Do people just not care until someone is gone? Are they celebrating that that person has achieved a "promotion" to heaven as it were? Why not celebrate their life and accomplishments more during life instead of searching for things to praise them and celebrate once they've died?

Why does this "religion" deserve that such of privilege? To make the other religions lose their faith to this ONE religion?

PS: That means, there will be only ONE religion in this world... all united under its teaching and guidance!

God hast created me in His image.

I take comfort in that. In fact, just this morning as I glanced in the mirror, it struck me that God must be one handsome sumnabitch.

I have learnt over the years how to really forgive, but it took me a long time to get to this point, before i was so unforgiving to anyone who did me a wrong, but quickly realised that i would want someone to forgive me, so why cant i learn to forgive also.

Does anyone, completely forgive someone who has done them a wrong?... or do we still harbour resentment when we are wronged? who out there can honestly say that they have forgiven someone, people always say i forgive but i'll never forget...but to me this still is not forgiveness, because as long as you remember it drudges up bad feelings again, so who out there has really and truly forgiven someone, and give a brief account of what you forgave them for.

Why? What if it were me, Moses?

What made you answer this question instead of the one I posted earlier? Was it because I put Jesus in the title?

Are you as tired of poorly educated people that call themselves "Christians"? I am. I come to this site time and again to find Christians poorly witnessing their faith by making these aweful statements that are basically saying, "Choose or die!"

They use the logic flaw of applying to your fear in hopes to scare the literal "hell" out of you.

Did Jesus or any of the writers of the books in the Bible use fear to save the unbeliever? NO!!!!

There is no, "Choose or die!" speech in any place of the Bible what-so-ever.

The only thing that this type of talk does is drive a wedge further between the believer and the unbeliever! I will bet a thousand bucks (not literal) that if the typical non-believer actaully knew what the faith was all about, their disgust for the faith would lessen dramatically!!!!

Unfortunetly, their disgust for those who hold on to this bad theology of, "Choose or die!" will increase greatly as well. :o(

I am just curious why athiests deny even the possibility of the spiritual yet are willing to consider the possiblity of there being 10 or 11 dimensions. Isn't that a bit hypocritical?

I run into so many religious people who have issues involving drugs, alcohol, fidelity, smoking, lying etc. yet they think they have the authority to preach to me and impose on me bible verses to better my world in the guise of wanting to love me as their neighbor.
If you can't and dont know how to love yourself enough to stop abusing yourself to what extent can you love your neighbor?

When I was growing up I was told 2 prime facets of Jesus life:
1. He was fully human and fully divine during his time on earth.
This meant his death paid for our sins.
2. He never once sinned, proving that a sinless life is possible, and
proving Satan wrong.

Here's my question. If Jesus was just a man (no angels, no star, no voice from above) in the exact same household, with the exact same upbringing (as far as scholastic and moral, not the "training to be messiah" part).... would he still have had a sinless life?

If you say yes; then isn't it possible that have there been others who have lived a completely sinless life (discounting original sin, if you believe in that).

If you say no; then aren't you saying that Jesus only had a sinless life because of his divine advantage? What does this prove for the rest of us about living free of sin?

If no, why do you believe what's written in an old book that says the same things? What if Fox News tomorrow said "God spoke from the heavens and commanded it to rain." and then they showed a clip of the sky and a booming voice saying "Let it rain." and all of a sudden you saw the sky get dark and it start to rain.... would this be simply them making this up or would it be real?

They were laughing about it and were discussing how to hide the body under a bed in the cement in the ground? I must be going loopy-maybe it's because I am pregnant...I couldn't understand why I wouldn't run away. It was like a was meant to be loyal to my friends and stay and get involved but I knew it was wrong. Past life experience or dodgy hormones?
