There is nothing written in red letters... (meaning Jesus didn't say it).

It doesn't mention homosexuals at all in the story of Sodom & Gomorrah. The sins of Sodom and Gomorrah are listed and homosexuality is not among those sins, the attempted rape of angels in the story comes after the cities are already due for destruction, that is why the angels have been sent to inform Lot so that is not why the towns were destroyed and anyway attempted violent rape does not describe homosexuality, attempted rape of angels even less so.

Homosexuality is not mentioned anywhere in the Bible, though buggery is disapproved of whether between two men or between a man & a woman as is oral sex and masturbation solo or mutual whether between two men or a man and a woman.

Seems the missionary position is the only permitted sexual activity...how unstimulating and boring it must get. No wonder then that the Victorians called it marital unpleasantness and got it over as quickly as possible then promptly rushed out to find the nearest prostitute for some real sexual enjoyment and pleasure.

So many times we've heard this question. The "word" homosexual is not in the Bible. The word homosexual did not come into existence until the late 1800's.

However, the act of homosexuality has been around since Plato, Socrates, and Sapho -- the Lesbian poet who lived on the Island of Lesbos.

In the Bible the "act" of homosexuality IS addressed:

Rom 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

Rom 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. --

There is no other way to read this scriptures. Vile affections is just that vile in God's eyes.

This greatly offends homosexuals and they view this as hatemongering. All I can say is take it up with God on the day of judgement, it's God's word -- we didn't write it.

Or you can read the Secret Gospel of Mark that speaks about Jesus and his homosexual act. This Gospel was written by Mark and intended to only be read by higher ups in the early Christian church.

Of course all copies were ordered destroyed by those in power deciding what books would go into the cannon and what books would not. This would be the part where man, two centuries after Jesus' death, were dictating what religion they wanted Christianity to be. Not what happened, not the word of god, but what they wanted it be. Power corrupts absolutely.

Sad part is, can't read the Secret Gospel of Mark. No copies exist. Clement of Alexandria discusses this book, as well as the homosexual act allegedly commited by Jesus, in a letter to another church head.

1Co 6:9 Don’t you know that evil people will not receive God’s kingdom? Don’t be fooled. Those who commit sexual sins will not receive the kingdom. Neither will those who worship statues of gods or commit adultery. Neither will men who are prostitutes or who commit homosexual acts. 10 Neither will thieves or those who always want more and more. Neither will those who are often drunk or tell lies or cheat. People who live like that will not receive God’s kingdom. 11 Some of you used to do those things. But your sins were washed away. You were made holy. You were made right with God. All of that was done in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Some of you used to do those things.... It is not permanent and can be forgiven.
