Plain and simple answer is that most Christians are hypocrites to some extent, and can't help themselves.

Some christians judge the world just like some of the world judges Chrisitians. So both parties are guilty. However, a christian's efforts to enlighten someone to the truth are often mistaken as being judgemental. No christian made the rules...most of the time they are just telling you what God says about a particular topic. And because we believe that the bible is God's word then that's what we use to tell you what God said. Does that not make logical sense? But because many dont want to hear the truth you want to use the "you're judging me" scape goat.

Too many people seem to have the misconception that a Christian is supposed to be perfect. Not so. We're human like everyone else and we make mistakes too.
Being a Christian doesn't mean we're perfect. It means that we know we are sinners; that we need forgiveness of those sins in order to have a relationship with God and an eternal life after this one. It means accepting as truth the knowledge that Christ is the Son of God, and that He died on the cross for our sins; i.e. the punishment we deserve for our sins He took for us.
The Holy Spirit, when He truly lives in us, works on our spirit every day shaping us to be more like Christ. However, these changes don't take place overnight, nor will they be finished when we die. We are born with a sinful nature, and we will die with a sinful nature.
The Bible teaches that we are not to judge others for any reason. The right to judge is God's and His alone, because He is the only one who is perfect and 'without sin'.
We are as guilty as the next person for doing wrong things in our lives. I'm not a murderer or a thief, a liar or a cheat, but I've been guilty of 'coveting' - wanting for myself what others have; Of juuusstt slipping through that red light. Large or small, a sin is a sin, and we cannot judge others when we are guilty ourselves.
Jesus instructs this, in John Chapter 8, most specifically verse 7: "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her." i.e., "Let he that is without sin cast the first stone".
We all fail at times to be what we are taught by the Bible to be. It is the sinful, carnal, side of us as humans that sneaks up and gets the better of us sometimes.
However, if we're going to call ourselves Christians, then we must be mindful of our words and actions so we don't cause people to think or feel negatively about Christ and the Bible.
I'm not perfect. I mess up sometimes. But when I do, I apologize and ask God to forgive me. Then I try not to repeat the mistake.
So with regard to judgments about who will and won't go to heaven, only God knows the true heart of a person and He is the only one that has the right to make that decision.
The (human) who makes that judgment may not go to heaven themselves, so they shouldn't be making the same judgment about others.

I think you are mistaking "making judgements" with "passing judgement" here.
People have to "make" judgements all the time. This potato salad is bad, this Rice a roni is good, turning left at Albequrque will not get you to Alaska (wrong road), this stick is 5 inches long, that hat does not complement your outfit, eating garlic with chocolate pudding is gross. Making judgements is simply part of being a rational human being--you have to evaluate certain things on evidence presented, and make a decision. That decision is a judgement.
Moral judgements are included in this. As in measuring weight, length, thickness, volume, etc. there is a standard for moral judgements, depending on to what religion you adhere. Stealing, murdering, infidelity, disrespecting are BAD. Loving, honoring, charitable giving, fidelity are GOOD. We have to make moral judgements all the time as we choose our actions.
What YOU are talking about is CONDEMNATION, or PASSING JUDGEMENT, on another person. You are correct, we are not to PASS judgement on other people, and declare them unloveable by God. That is overreaching our authority as humans.
We may, however, tell another that their actions are dangerous, especially in a moral sense. That would not be "passing judgement" on the person. It would be "making a judgement" of an action, already proved toxic by an authoritative standard. Think of it as a spiritual intervention. "Friend, if you continue doing this, it will destroy you."
What passages in John are you talking about? I've never known the Bible to stroke anybody's ego. Quite to the contrary.
You're right about John. He was just a servant, not the Saviour.

Only *some* people make judgements. Of course they don't have the power or the authority to do so. But they do anyway...that's just human nature.
Only God can judge man.
Jesus is the savior. That is the dividing line of judgement. If you believe, you will be saved. If not, then....you won't be.

There is always one group or another claiming to be in the know. Quite honestly, I don't think anyone knows what happens - it's all conjecture and the team w/ most members does not win.
There is the ongoing hierarchy, everyone wants to be on the winning team, which means there must be losers too.
We are not that far removed from the dog pack - there is a natural and elemental need to assign a position, alpha and omega and in between.

We arent judging anyone but if you ask us a question then we have to give you an answer based on the doctrine which we believe in... How hypocritcal would it be for me to tell a fornicating friend that Yeah! Gurl your going to heaven! Praise God.... When in the scripture it says something diffirent? I dont judge anyone but I do tell the truth based in the word. It's up to God to judge... He's best at it and Is most merciful!

Christian don't judge they use the fruit like the bible says ... somewhere lol, I'm not sure the passage but it says judge one another buy there fruits (I am not sure if it says judge) but anyways, If you don't have Jesus in your heart your not going to Heaven, plain and simple. But even if it is at your dying breath you except him he forgives you of ALLLLL your sins. In fact he doesn't remember them. Now that is hard for us to understand but it's true. AND JESUS IS THE SAVIOR OF THE WORLD!!!

Wow - that was quite the unintelligible question...
However, I am guessing that you are asking why Christians judge others? Answer - they shouldn't, but they are human too...
Hohn is not the saviour of manking according to the bible - Jesus is. John does not judge mankind...
Hope that helps...

It's not for me to make the judgement on who goes to heaven.. that's the job of God and Jesus, and you can disbelieve if you wish, that's okay, just don't look at us when you're standing at the judgement seat being directed to your trip to hell.. and, nope, that's not a judgement, it's a truth.
Don't believe me? Read the WHOLE bible, and not just the parts you THINK prove your point.

Because the biggest problem today in Christianity is the christians themselves. They're not supposed to judge others because they have no authority to do so. Thank you for bringing this up. I feel that christians should start living up to their expectations. It's the way that we act that discourages others about christianity.
